The funny thing is, I've been thinking about the Cathy comics recently. The creator was on a repeat of Johnny Carson a couple weeks ago (side note but, definitely recommend watching the shows if you get Antenna TV).

I feel like everything or nothing makes it that much harder when something happens that you didn't expect. Maybe I'm worried about being hurt too much but you need to be able to live without someone sometimes, because things happen and you can't do anything about it except keep moving.

I'd vote for Stef, personally. Important life lesson.

Did you not see the promo at the end of the episode? Seth Green, Project Birthmark? Though it looks like the characters weren't planning on going to Israel, from the way they cut Abbi's line.

I think Ilana knew that it was a lie, but wasn't sure what it was for. She knew Abbi would eventually tell her but wanted to give her time (so she'd have details to go with the confession). When Bobbi caught Abbi at the restaurant, Ilana figured what everyone else did- that Abbi was planning to surprise them.

I'll admit that's true- Ilana would slowly creep sex back into their friendship. It's a terrible shame it wouldn't work out.

Let he who is without cheese-smelling fingers cast the first stone.

I was thinking of Friends.

It's more his hairstyle and general build that are familiar to me by now.

Ilana's dad was in the second season of the web series, the finale episode I Heart New York, playing chess. Not sure if he was in Mom Brunch.

But we need the Lincolns (well, most of the time- not like how he was tonight).

Soft drinks may have worked with his family, but would have made him seem soft with the TV executive.

It was a symbol of their relationship, and she could never let herself take that away. But it would have been better to drag it out, I think. Ilana needs time to acclimate to these sort of things, and you don't quit a relationship like that so abruptly.

She kept it for over a month. Trey said they first kissed a month ago (which would mean Rat Pack was that long ago, smashing the whole 'day-in-the-life' thing they had going in the first two seasons).

Of course a florist walks around with corsages. Doesn't yours?

Mahalo, pono.

He wanted the dick deets as well, as I remember.

I feel weird saying this but, I wasn't as much a fan of this episode as everyone seems to be. Then again, I didn't have a problem with a lot of what people have been complaining about this season. I don't think Ilana was getting cartoon-y.

Plot development meaning losing side characters, in this case.
