What about the kid who says, "Okay?  Now start singing!" on the beginning of "God of Thunder"?

Sounds like a great instrument for aspiring actors.

Yes, to reference your name-sake, there are as many apologist/revisionist Star Trek fans as there are apologist/revisionist Simpsons fans, and then there are the poor Voyager fans who have to put up with the cockamamie purism of other Star Trek fans.

Nemesis is similar but it *was* first and there were some quiet moments (not many) - at least we had time to make comments during the movies whereas the 2009 movie as one long loud train wreck explosion orgasm and we had to wait until the end credits.

Sounds like "Astro Boy" or something…

Actually I should re-phrase…In Handlen's position he is a figure of authority, the go-to guy so I thought it was inappropriate of him to make that kind of comment.  Lesser comments have started flame wars.  Besides, he's a young man.  He doesn't know he feels about the whole of Trek just yet.  Let him get to the final

Well…ahem alurin, I could attack your observations with many different arguments but I'll save it and slow it down…the Original Series was considered a high-water mark, I've got a butt-load of expert, professional, doodelly-smack, big-wig comments from writers, producers (even Ellison acquiesced to this point) on the

To quote Kirk:  "It was…FUN…"

I can't wait to heckle Avery Brooks and Nana Visitor's wild overacting in the 1st and 2nd seasons.  Ha!  Shatner got nothing on those two.

I also enjoyed Stewart's delivery after the commercial break when he talks to Guinan and he says "Riker's argument was devastating.  He almost convinced me."

Picard's total bug-out after the mind-swap with Sarek.
"NO!  It is wrong.  IT IS WRONG!"

No question…Enterprise.  It was worse than a dip.  It was a double dip.

Seasons six and seven look better, yes, but I think that was because they abandoned the horrible idea of editing from substandard video masters instead of from negatives.  Remember this was before the HD era so TV shows from that time look like shit.  That's why they've been having such a time doing high quality HD

I like Cochrane's "You're astronauts on some sort of star trek."
Or Han Solo, in the first movie saying "Chewie I think we're caught up in star wars!"
Or Alan Rickman pointing a gun at Bruce Willis: "You do die hard, don't you?"
Or Daniel Craig: "Wait a minute.  You're the girl with the dragon tattoo!"
Or Clint Eastwood:

How can Frakes give a non-sexual hug?

Frakes, you're awesome.  I listened to your commentary with Sirtis on "Insurrection" - brilliant, funny, unpretentious!

Uh Rich, I don't want girly-cooties from homos.  Sorry to have to say that.

As long as he cleans up his bizarre grammatical errors and covers "Voyager", "Enterprise", and some of the more notable fan film entries.

I couldn't let this TV Club bit end without posting my two-cents (read - irritating comments)  - I've enjoyed Handlen's recaps, at least keeping up with the many episodes, seasons 1-7 and the movies.  He tended to get nostalgic/sycophantic about the show and brushed off some of their worst episodes (i.e. Rascals) but

Me too, Mrs. Peel. I haven't done any comparative analysis but is the TNG thread the most popular among the TV Club entries, or am I way off?
