My biggest problem with Insurrection (and remember I enjoyed it) was that there didn't seem to be a story in all the muddling, philosophizing and it did remind me of an extended episode, but why such a huge budget? It was the biggest budget (even more then Nemesis) for any of the Star Trek movies until 2009.

Regarding TOS being better then TNG, you are entitled to your opinion, but as a writer in your position it's probably best not to draw any definitive conclusions…not unless you consider yourself a scientist of Star Trek and have conducted experiments and display flowcharts to back up your claims.

I'm of the opinion that the "economy is fucked" because the government and the media say it's fucked.  Sort of gives the excuse not to hire new faces and double up the workload on the already overworked, cheaper that way…

I think Kira had more time (or the writers had more time) to flesh out the character.  Ro really appeared in only a handful of episodes.  I found Kira insufferable in the first season.  She grew on me toward the end of the third season.

Yep, she went off to have that wonderful movie career that so eluded Denise Crosby, Shelley Long, David Caruso…

Picard on MST3K; Make it Crow.

I thought it was really fucked up what happened to Anthony Zerbe - sort of the same thing happened to him at the end of Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park.

He's kind of a ham.  Stories about him over the years are hilarious.  He told Letterman or something he kept his Oscar after he got it.  You're supposed o give it to somebody to have it engraved but he wanted it right away, probably sleeps with it.  He refused a second-string credit on Bonfire of the Vanities so he

I'm with you Billy - at least the damned thing tried to have a little fun - Klingon pimples, firm boobs (I love how they call them boobs), Riker and his bathtub shaving (you think he turned the razor on Troi's blacksmith's apron and said, "Your turn."), Picard's Mambo, Data and the HMS Pinafore, and F. Murray

That's great.  Any bitch-slapping references while we're at it?

Lots of jack-assery abound; "Emergence" was schlock-a-thon and "Preemptive Strike" does what Handlen complains about with other episodes by betraying the Ro Laren character in an effort to either make her appear more interesting instead of the stack-o'-tits-with-legs characters we've gotten used to over seven years or

and duck a lot…

Ron Moore's a douche…had to say it.  Total, total douche. You ever see him in interviews - worse than J.J.

Star Trek 2009 had to be, for me, the worst of all the movies.  Left me cold…shivering actually.

If I'm in on it, I'll have to stay sober so I can defend the movie against the haters - also to drive everybody home.  You'll all wind up in the woods!

Buckaroo, in my neck of the woods, they're actually voting on whether or not to keep the town library open because they can't afford to employ one librarian.  Ugh.

Des he want me to suck the side of the bag?  Do I have to make them all come? I love Louis CK!

Isn't freaking EVERYTHING a direct challenge to a Klingon?  Does Worf actually give his son shit for not wanting to kill everything he sees?  If you were to believe the legacy, their home world would look like the planet they found Nibbler on - what with only a handful of animals remaining.

They told me they fixed it!

What's the big deal with "Nemesis"?  Is it because one of the main characters dies - even though it is the last film and he really isn't dead because he put his equivalent of a katra in a similar sentient? Is it because Tom Hardy can't do a credible Picard impersonation, even though he isn't really Picard in the film?
