That set is dynamite. The ending sequence of Isle of the Dead, particularly, but each film has such a distinctive look and feel. And some of those set pieces - the walk home in Cat People, the first zombie sequence in IWWAZ, trying to corral the swinging hook in Ghost Ship, so many others - are as good as they get.
Not really to your point (which I agree with) but We're All In This Together is seriously underrated.

This review is entirely too preoccupied with "white male/ straight white/ black Vulcan." Thankfully, the show isn't/ wasn't.

I actually clicked on this because I thought it'd be an ironic assessment, skewering her monumental narcissism. I was rather surprised to see it was meant sincerely. Whew.
