Zack, if you haven't, you should read the review of Bram Stoker's Dracula from Ian Svenonius's The Psychic Soviet. Sounds like you'd appreciate it, from your review here.

The Rapture is brilliant stuff. I'm not a fundamentalist, or even a Christian, so don't take this the wrong way, but… that write-up is horrendous. The ending is ambiguous and open to varied interpretations, sure, but I'd say the interpretion, here, is way off. Nor do I think it's "no doubt inspired by the rise of the…

And even Deb!

The biggest problem with Kate was how they gave her a new backstory or special ability (one that conveniently served that week's episode, usually) every time they needed to. By the end of season 2, it was already kind of silly, but it got even sillier in season 3.

Just saw this last night - fantastic. Of course, the "Glenn Beck Era" could easily be substituted for something less straw-man-y. I mean, go on facebook sometime and look through any of the "My God aren't the GOP STUPID?" sites and you'll see the same bubbles of paranoia, misrepresentation, and "cultivated fictional…
"Black Market" on this list? Insanity.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had that in mind since the cold open.
Noticeably absent: Beerfest!
That picture is just… wow. Thank you.
I'm more offended by the Yankees cap on her head. Fascist!
Audionoir.com has some good stuff. It has a limited over-the-air broadcast range, but my apartment in Chicago is within it. Johnny Dollar (the man with the million dollar expense account) and Dragnet always seem to be on when I'm cooking/ washing dishes. Fun damn stuff!
Man, the mental gymnastics people are performing on this topic to distinguish calling one woman a dumb cunt and another a slut is just too much. The obvious truth is, for better or for worse: if the person is affiliated with Fox News, then it's a "war on women." That flatters the liberal narcissist's idealized view of…
I was obsessed with Marvel's Micronauts as a kid. I moved to Germany shortly before they went to direct-sales-only then came back and bought everything I'd been missing in one comic-shop-bender in the summer of 1984 or whenever it was. (Back when you could do that with only a couple weeks of saved allowances.)
Amen, Dennis.
