A longtime viewer feels the opposite of what Pilot said: the end is totally expected, but the emotional tone feels jarring.

I really like that every episode this season is doing a good job of spacing the characters out.

Letterman's company did Everybody Loves Raymond. Probably the main reason he's richer than Leno.

Are you friends with Prindle on Facebook? We may very well have interacted there, Echos.

Thanks! I've been meaning to get around to that.

I've heard Challengers 100 plus times and I can never remember how Unguided goes unless it's currently playing,

Get Guilty is pretty awesome too.

I could see an alternate version of All the Things that didn't have 80 additional layers of backing vocals, but not as recorded.

The only problem with making a mix of these albums is Toby always gets over represented because he is fucking killing it. You could make a KILLER album from the best 80% of his contributions.

Twin Cinema was promoted so heavily that I find it hard to believe someone into indie music at that time didn't come across it somewhere.

We seem to have near identical taste in tv and completely opposite taste when it comes to Neko/Newman/NP.

It's my least favorite since the Virginian, but that's still a solid B in my book.

Make friends with a GBV fan. They'll gladly make mixes. I have an insanely obsessed friend that would probably make a mix for you, a random stranger that his friend talked to on a comment board. That's how much they like making GBV mixes.

That's mine. Objectively, it's probably Twin Cinema.

Also, I actually like The Slow Wonder more than any New Pornographers album. Please check that one out if you like this band at all.

Together takes that title.

I like Challengers fine but it's the only New Pornographers album that I can't remember every single song just by looking at the track list. A couple of songs just bleed into each other in my memory.

That's also maybe the only song on Challengers that could have been on the first three albums, though.

I'm not exactly sure where I'd place MJ yet but your order is close to mine, although I might flip flop Bears and Factory. Factory is more inconsistent but has higher highs than Bears. Bears is a weird GBV album to me… I think every song is good, but there aren't many stand outs.

Maybe they got more exposure to NPR listeners, but how does that 'blow em open?' That's a very narrow audience. That's like saying that winning a Juno for Mass Romantic blew em open.
