Such an underrated band. Love Miho and Yuka's solo work too.

I don't think it's 'nonsene' when those characters appeared almost weekly.
I feel like that comment about Belushi pretty much IS the conventional wisdom. He was a proud scene stealer and was pissed off that he wasn't the first star to break out.
I enjoy his show but mostly have stuck to the episodes that have guests that don't tend to appear on other podcasts I listen to. British comedy people and comic book artists. Paul F Tompkins is the major exception.
Yeah is this becoming a meme here? Happens EVERY WEEK.
The show has been on a hot streak. Anything from the past two months or so is a great listen, as are any that were livestreamed on YouTube.
Yeah, I don't understand why you'd feel ripped off seeing a 2 hour film that had a half hour of filler as opposed to a really tight, fun flick that came in around 90 minutes. TV marathons are something I do too, but each individual episode has set time constraints that helps prevent bloat…
Vonnegut was pretty down on Slapstick, but I liked it.
He's more criticial of his work than most writers I've heard. Try listening to the Father Ted commentaries..
I've been listening to the podcast A Bit of a Chat and there are several interviews with Graham Lineham. He's very critical of his work. He mentions that he thinks there's only three really successful IT Crowd episodes. The Work Outing is the only one he names (as far as I can recall) and he's still very harsh on the…
That's a big part of the comic, but that's not how it's played out in the movie. They look overjoyed to be thrown back into the Matrix.
CGI always ages badly.
You're the second Mr Show related name to reply to me in a span of ten minutes.
Glad to see this feature return! I was afraid it had been retired.
If we're going by this comment page, I think it's Afghamistam. Juanito is like Gene Shalit. He expresses his dumb, loud opinions in a dumb, loud way. Afghamistam disguises his contrary opinions with faux-erudite writing to disguise the fact that what is being said is inconsistent and incoherent.
I don't think that is a great discription of a bad plot, but I'm glad someone brought up the fact that Batman has tons of shitty stories.
@avclub-9024f9f0a80d2d248c7c6efb2e715c37:disqus If those two movies had been "Elseworlds" or "Earth 2" comics it would rankle less, but it bums me out that kids are going to grow up thinking that this is THE Superman, not some radical reimagining.
Auckerman as Myxlplyx? Paul F Tompkins as Luthor? James Adomian as either Brainiac or Parasite? Andy Daly as Cyborg/Hank Henshaw is a must, since all he really wants to do is die.
@avclub-fddd7938a71db5f81fcc621673ab67b7:disqus He embraces it at the end sure, and sure, he's upset he murdered, but it's a long, cold, joyless slog to get there. I wanted a movie with some warmth.
