I agree, it was fantastic. I bought the DVD when it finally came out.

I read the Salon piece. Wow. Nathan was right, that guy is a douchebag.

I LOVE CHEAP TRICK. I see them every chance I get. This guy, who turned out to be a jerk, took me to a Cheap Trick concert and he had backstage passes and I got to meet the band. I was so overwhelmed, literally all I could say was, "It's so nice to meet you," and shake their hands. I felt like such an idiot. But,

I seem to recall a review that said something like "The only way Blade: Trinity could be any more like a video game is if joysticks were attached to the arms of the seats in the theater."

Ryan Reynolds does, indeed, pick terrible films, but I really like him. And I love Just Friends. It's funnier than it has any right to be.

I loved This is England, and, despite its flaws, Dead Man's Shoes. I am really looking forward to this.

I have not read Dorothy L. Sayers, but at one point, I came across this quote of hers that I just love:

"Much like Hughes' The Breakfast Club, I Love You, Beth Cooper tries to exploit and explode broad stereotypes, but it never transcends the labels it applies."

Buddy the Elf Hunter, I concur.

I love Nadja.

Interesting, the only Tom & Jerry episodes I could stand were the Chuck Jones episodes. I love the animation, especially the eyes.

Here is my reaction:

Say what you will about that appalling situation, but Soon-Yi is not and never was Woody Allen's stepdaughter. Mia Farrow and Woody Allen were not married and they did not live together and Allen never adopted Soon-Yi. Soon-Yi has said that Woody Allen was never a father figure to her. Maybe she lied and maybe

Martin Donovan was the only aspect of Portrait of a Lady that I loved (or even liked). Robert John Burke is great. I adore him in Simple Men. And I am happy every time he shows up in a Law & Order episode.

I believe Bfred is correct.

Nathan, you complete me.

@Claude - I agree, that phrase is awesome.

@Quiet Wyatt - Yes, exactly.

@Terry1 Nicely said.

Now I really want to see Pontypool, but I can't find it anywhere in L.A. I think it may be available On Demand, though. One of those IFC currently in theaters deals.
