Thank you.  Anna Chlumsky is certainly attractive, but my number two after JLD would actually be Sue.  Maybe I just have a thing for women who are very unlikely to put up with my shit.

Aw, your susceptibility to someone's physical charms is somehow dampened if you see them exhibit qualities like cruelty, pettiness, and self-absorption. That's goddamned adorable.

OK, I can't contain it anymore.  Does anyone else watching this show find Julia Louis Dreyfus distractingly hot?  That green dress was extremely tight.  I really mean no disrespect to what a fine comedic actress she is, but this 30-something man almost wishes they would frump her up a little, or ask her to skip the

'Grave of The Fireflies' wins the competition by several country miles
for me.  The idyllic setting of the siblings' shelter by the stream
contrasted so painfully with the reality of the little sister's slow
starvation…  Plus, because it's animated, you can pour every
paternal/brotherly emotion you've ever had into

What I appreciate about this show is that it has been willing to commit to Walter's journey into Evil.  Even though it was just designed to be pulpy nonsense, 'Dexter' always vaguely made my stomach turn with how it contorted itself to be about a 'likable' serial killer who 'only killed killers'.  What nonsense— what

Uh, I enjoyed YOUR HIGHNESS way more than Pineapple Express.  Actually, more than George Washington, if I had to be honest.

Robin Williams has always been a good dramatic actor.  But for the past decade or two, his 'comedic' star vehicles have ranged from wretched to odious.  A couple of years ago I felt comfortable dismissing him entirely.  Then he did 'World's Greatest Dad' with Bobcat and I was forced to press the Reset button.  That

Just STAY AWAY from Sam Adams 'Cherry Wheat'.  It's like a Luden's cough drop dissolved in bleach.  Undrinkable.

She was completely revelatory.  I don't recall ever seeing her perform on such a nuanced, difficult level.  But I'm crushed to read the interview she gave and discover that Liz doesn't return this season.  Of course she's trouble, but I want more of her… They could build half a season around her.  Can't they see the

I think it is pretty clear—and awesome—that 'Louie' has decided to take on the trope of the Manic Pixie Dream Girl, except show what a character who fits that mold would REALLY be like, and the dysfunctional roots and reprecussions of such a character.

No, that was a great combination of practical makeup, with CGI enhancements (the glow of the eyes, the wisps of frost that were coming off him)  But a really great-looking creature, I thought.  Scary enough but also sort of beautiful.  I was sold.

Brienne's scene ruled all.  High point of the episode for me, and this episode featured THAT white walker.  Holy crap just a great season capper all around.

It is a credit to the artistry of this show, that when I saw the White Walker up close,  all I could think was 'holy. fuck'.  It was magnificent.  There was a grandeur and a texture to that character that really awed me.  I owe those makeup guys a beer.  Well done, lads.
