There was some Bob Benson talk on a previous ep's comments section, but I never really got to it. I'm dying to know what he represents, what happens with this guy. So creepy.

Agree. I still liked the episode, and I enjoyed the "rallying" feel at the end, but I had to completely suspend disbelief to do so. NO WAY could you "merge" the companies without input from the partners, AND combine the 2 Chevy pitches, AND win the business, all between what, midnight and 6AM the night before the…
@Scrawler2:disqus - that little Fanning in Super 8 was truly fantastic. She stood out in that film probably more than any other actor in any movie or TV show I saw that year.
Draper is no where near worst dad. I believe for the era he's probably average to above-average.
@avclub-d0cf409eb912cc0cc950b41b6d892d07:disqus - he was literally "balls deep" in a Hare Krishna though - remember Paul's crush came and F'd Harry in the office??
As a recently separated going through a divorce guy, I have had great bonding over Walking Dead and Breaking Bad with my kids, 17, 14, and 11 years old. Lots to talk about and look forward to!
Public Fingerbang Thread!
I think the main reason it's kind of a joke now is Heston's massive overacting.
I'm betting she's thinking of going back blonde. She was clearly contemplating the color and/or style right at the end there where she was kind of twirling it, but not in an absent-minded way, she was evaluating.
@avclub-0bd2a57516e60062fc7b0a16ebc241b9:disqus - also, most of those snobs put that bright yellow 'mustard' on it, which, to me, is below ketchup. If you're going with real mustard, sure, but WTF
QUICK FOOD THREAD question - anybody been to Kumas in Chicago? Burgers and metal, from what I'm gathering from the website. GF wants to go there Saturday. The menu is making me salivate
@avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus I don't think it's fear actually, but government intervention is unbelievably time consuming, expensive, and very potentially reputation harming. That's why Pete/Sr. Mgmt. types HATE that kind of thing.
The first time I saw that I thought she said 'you earned it' which I think works better.
Uh…. too old to be a romantic lead? He's 43. Most of these guys do the romantic lead thing until mid-50's easily. And, he is kind of genetically ridiculous, so he could probably be a romantic lead until his 60's, with the right hair and makeup person.
@avclub-013d407166ec4fa56eb1e1f8cbe183b9:disqus 's comment needs more likes.
@avclub-236e42b5af241c85d97910f5c1aa6107:disqus very well said.
@avclub-620982009915db2a0b4a49e224bad30c:disqus - people who blast the 1 album are not really hardcore Beatles fans though. I generally am ok w greatest hits packages, but the Beatles really need a deeper dive.
J) Fuck da police
I think he's a great artist, and his hating on this song just diminished my opinion of him by half. He is so obviously not "getting" the simple, sad-sacky nature of the song itself, nor it's perfect place withing Sgt Pepper. Also, the call and response vocals are excellent, and the "Yes, I'm certain that it happens…
@edwardsung:disqus - pretty sure they were in debt up to their eyeballs until the 70's.
