I second Left of the Dial.  I love the song, but it really sums up the whole Replacements "thing".

Cheap clothes find:  Kenneth Cole outlet for shoes.  They are normally $100ish in the dept store, $80ish at the outlet, and the ALWAYS have some 40%ish off today only in store deal going.  I just got a very nice pair of black dress loafers for $50.  Similar deals on lady shoes I believe, but smallish selection.

My daughter is going to college in August.  MY BIGGEST FEAR is this.  My ex was drugged and date raped in college, kind of just before that was a thing.  We are worried about virtually nothing else in her upcoming college years, as she's smart and very confident.  But the roofie thing - so fucking random!

Office drone.  Like Gary X, I am on here waaaaayyyy too much. More reading for the laughs then commenting, but still, if 'they' found out, i'd have a lot of 'splaining to do.

The Elantras, really all the Hyundais, are pretty dang sweet.

Agree with Senor.  I stopped doing yoga for a while, not by choice, and im starting to be vulnerable to all kinds of weak-ass injuries.

I am veering off the fashion thread to take a risk with my fellow AVCers, to a style question.  I'm going to buy a new car this spring, narrowed to 2, both very different from each other.  Expensive divorce present to myself.

Nestle Toll House recipe - straight up but with 3 eggs instead of just 2.  Bake an extra minute.  Eat 4-6 with 2 glasses of milk.  Stagger to bed.

@avclub-bca3531762af8a993c4f60c48fd5e33b:disqus  is this a name brand? if so please share.  I too would like to be enthusiastic about toast.

Multi-grain Cheerios FTW.

@avclub-b32768df2cfff3a5ab1a78d093711e2c:disqus  - Cera is so perfect in the way he kind of nervously delivers that line.

@Scrawler2:disqus  - I'm revisiting all the ADs in order on Netflix instant, catching ones I missed, etc. and I watched that episode last night.  Buster/mother interaction might be my favorite AD thing of all, with the highlight so far being the "Suddenly playing with yourself…' line.  I'm a bit surprised that made it

It's weird - herpes is essentially cold sores, right? Yet the comedic mentions etc. of herpes make it seem like it's something that would make parts start falling off of you.

I made a comment above, I think she is truly beautiful. Like Seyfried (sp?) but with more normal eyes.  (Note - I think Seyfried is beautiful and strange looking at the same time. Her oddness draws you in, I say.)

I don't begrudge any of these folks though - none of us do, do we? I can't believe I haven't seen tons of guys n gals from The Wire, Shield, etc….

FUTURE PARENTS: Before I sold out to The Man for untold riches, we did not have cable, until my youngest child was about 5.  Meaning my then 11- and 8-year olds had grown up on PBS.  We get cable and all of sudden "I want this/that" starts happening.  "Where did you hear about this/that?" - of course the goddamn

@avclub-b6b8340f2234049af61e6b2b03c090b2:disqus  - I had seen S1 about 3 years ago on Netflix discs, meant to pick up the rest blah blah…
I bought the whole set on Friday and binge-watched first 5 eps of S2.  It is truly, absolutely fantastic.

@avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus ,  @ComradeQuestions:disqus   thanks.  I will try to stick it out, but I think I'll take a break until late summer - Homeland site says Sept 29 S3 premiere.  I think I'll at least get through S2 easier if there is some anticipation for S3…

@avclub-d6537db628c8624dd41cdf68e445b71b:disqus  - I've tried!   I was not above trying to pirate this, as I pay (a shitload it seems) for basic cable etc., however:

Amazing book - from an unlikely source!  Have to put the miniseries on the list…
