I submit that LS has a lot of fun, cool, totally misunderstood songs, while the Allmans have a few ok songs with lots of extended jams that are boring.  Live "Whipping Post" is 10x more boring than live"Free Bird", for example.

Whilst camping in Southern IL, I saw my first real-life Deliverance type guy at the general store.  Fuckin' creeeepy.

It takes about 8 hours to drive from the Northern border to the very southern tip.  Once you get outside of Chicago/suburbs, people start talkin' real funny-like.
