I'm guessing the AVC can only afford 50-60.  They know he's worth more, but it is a free site, so I'd be very surprised to see above 75k.

The figures are outlandish, but the principle is right on.  I've worked in executive compensation, in both the corporate and consulting worlds, for over 15 years now.  You get numb to the numbers pretty quickly, and it becomes all very relative.  Same concept here.
