I know. Reading through them has made me resigned to not seeing those written up. A shame - I think it would be a fascinating show, especially to give it a watch knowing what we do about where it ends (and what little we know about where it would have gone).

Sexual position
Donna - nice comment on Skyler being on top. It's not something I would have really thought about, but it really does play perfectly into Walt's emasculation/Skyler's dominating nature. Add that to everything else, and you KNEW one of Walt's self-destructive moments was coming - the man HAS to assert

Comment was to Wizard, by the way.

Really? Think about how close he came to spilling it all during "Fly" when he was drugged. And think about Walt's pride in general. He's drunk, pissed, emasculated by his wife, his partner, his boss, and everything else. And Walt's pride just couldn't take Gale getting the credit for his work.

Funny you should mention "No long-term vision"
"But no; I can't help but feel like the writers went into this season without a long-term vision for the season. It's unlikely this is the case, but it does feel as if they just made up the scripts as they went along, without knowing all along how the investigation would

Audio form?
Whatever happened to the promise of reviving the audio podcast? Heck, I'd settle for an audio rip of these that I can actually take with me.

Yeah, I've said it before, but I would enjoy the AVT's a lot more if there were spoiler versions. Rather than lackluster reviews of movies that no one at the AVC really cares about (Predators, for one), I'd much rather hear discussions of the films. It would really set apart the podcast and make them more

Hell. Turns out it's just an extended timeslot - finale is standard length, followed by the Rubicon pilot. Boo!

The more I thiink about it, the less I think Jesse was the catalyst
Think about this:

Next week
By the way, the finale is set to run extra long - till 11:48.

I propose an "Odd Couple"-type scenario where Saul and Gus have to become roommates. Wackiness ensues.

Nice writeup
Excellent writeup, Donna. I like your discussion of how Walt has kind of embraced his father role with Jesse - it does put this season into perspective.

Plus, some awesome "real" actors, like Philip Baker Hall and J.K. Simmons.

Sigh
Are we getting to the Sopranos point, where people watch and then complain it's not enough about shooting and killing?

The other point I saw someone make about Olivia's freakout is that she's a woman who was sexually abused by an older man and has severe fear issues. Now she's being locked in a dark room by a powerful older man, which has to be setting off all kinds of triggers in her mind.

Weirdly, according to my closed-captioning, she's called "Bolivia". That's just plain odd.

The Room
Noel, I am TOTALLY with you about hating the "so bad it's good" type of movies. I thought TROLL 2 was pretty unendurably awful, and apart from MST3K's brilliant humor, nothing could make me sit through a lot of these movies.

Easier link?
I really like Sawbuck Gamer a lot, but I have to admit that finding them can be a pain. They don't get links in the featured games, so as soon as they disappear from the front page, the only way to find them is via the search box. Can it get a link in the "Feature Jump" dropdown box to make it easier to

Pulling the episode
"After all, if Comedy Central really had a problem with the episode, why not just pull it, rather than covering half of it up with bleeps?"

I actually don't think it's "so bad it's good"; I think it's genuinely ambitious, and admire it for its reach. I think it's flawed, but fascinating in spite of them.
