@avclub-2fc1d799b128e475f8413a49f829a975:disqus Towards the end they were focusing more on the relationship between Drew/Denise weren't they? I think they had realized Lucy worked best as a quirky side character. Had they gotten a season 2 (or season 10 whatever) I'm sure either Drew or Denise would have been the main

Heroes could have easily been saved if the writers hadn't been scared shitless to follow through on any decision they ever made and weren't constantly hitting the goddamn reset button.

I have never and will never see season 8. I'll admit that it's less to do with Topher Grace leaving (though I always liked Eric/Donna) and more to do with ruining Jackie and Hyde.

My guess is if time becomes enough of an issue they'll just stop doing the show in real time. Each episode could just be a day leading up to the wedding or something like that.

In fairness to the rest of the cast though they don't have steady movie careers like Jason Segel they all have non HIMYM projects in the works. Cobie had SHIELD, Josh Radnor just directed his second movie, NPH has broadway and can pretty much do anything (I think he's destined to be a very successful talk show host at

They're a little too famous though. It would look too much like stunt casting. The more I think about this the more I believe Lizzy Caplan is the perfect choice and the more I think it will not be her.

They could dye her hair or put her in a wig and picturing Lauren Ambrose with brown hair reminds me of Amber Tamblyn. So Amber Tamblyn could also work.

Sometimes they're are just people that rub you the wrong way.The fact that there's no real reason for Robin to dislike Patrice is apart of the joke. It's completely irrational like Michael's dislike of Toby on The Office. If you need to have a reason for it the fact that Patrice is so damn sweet and cheerful could be

Has it ever been confirmed that they're married?

Yeah but if it's true that the rest of the cast was onboard I could see him feeling pressured to stick around. He's known these people for almost a decade and I'm sure he didn't want to cost them their jobs. Not to mention the non actors the show employs.
