The only Disney Afternoon show I couldn't take at all was Bonkers. As a kid, it made me have rage shakes at the thought of having to watch it. Tailspin was the show, along with Rescue Rangers and Duck Tales. I even liked Goof Troop and Quack Pack.

I found that the penguin storyline worked, if only because of the crayons at the end. I watched it with my niece and both of us agreed that those were the best thing they could've gotten. I mean, gold would do exactly nothing for them.
Not ponytails or cottontails
No, Duck Tales, whoo-ooo!
I picked up one of the DVD sets and watched with my niece- she likes it, and I'm not annoyed by anyone except the fat scout. He's annoying as all get out.
Once again, I had a pop-culture weekend with no movies, TV or books. We had the 20th anniversary of our local improv troupe, and two of the guys in it went to high school with me, so I went with the BFF. I really enjoy Who's Line and I usually leave one of these guys' shows with a laughter headache, so I had high…
Agreed. I read it because of course, I had to know what happened, but that was about it. Even now, I keep pushing off rereading the trilogy because I'd have to reread Mockingjay.
I had a dream this past week where it was one of those zany, madcap adventures. I don't remember much, except that there was a boatload of celebrities and I called one, and we were all BFFs, which wow. Apparently my reading AV Club before bed has paid off nicely.
I watched "Paperman" with everyone else in America, it seems, and I can definitely see how it might be too twee for some, but I loved it. I guess I was in a sappy mood.
I get squick shudders when seeing that particular TNG episode. Ugh, so embarrassing.
I wish I was, because I'd totally watch.
In the song that plays while they're playing in the snow, she even spells it out that this dude was scary, but now she sees a different side of him and wonders why she didn't notice before.
I have the musical soundtrack. How can you stay mad at a dude that goes from not knowing how to read to being super excited over…
I wanna see a movie about Double-Stank, about an unwashed homeless hooker with a heart of gold, that solves crime between johns.
This was the one I was thinking of. That and the not-as-good "Because We Are In Love (The Wedding Song)". I didn't like it as a kid, kinda grew to like it as an adult, and then found out it was written for Karen's actual wedding, to a guy that turned out to be a royal asshole that was a gold digger and might have made…
You pretty much named our oldies station playlist here. No wonder I was an odd child.
edit-and out of these songs, "Windy" can go die in a fire. I hated that my name was so close to this dippy song.
Last night, I attended a comedy improv thing where one of the suggestions for an advice panel was what to do when your husband runs off with the wedding planner and gets pregnant. One of the performers onstage ranted about how gross that was and ended with "and that's why he deserved to get pregnant!" Definitely one…
Doesn't mean they go around committing hate crimes!
When I was younger, and didn't care really, I'd go to random shops and ask for the same thing- short cut, tapered in the back to a v point. (let me also point out, along with my rocking butch cut, I'm black with relaxed hair.) I liked the beauty school, but sometimes my cut ranged from lil' mullet to Amanda Bearse.…
Maybe I'm just that weird, but I super-peel my grapefruits, by hand. No pith, no peel and no skin, just grapefruit flesh, achieved by only my thumbs. I might have a problem.
I actually had someone complain to me at work about a coworker being rude (I could care less, but apparently I have 'one of those faces' so I hear lots of stupidness). Before I could ask who it was, she said, "He was a Oriental man."
Really? I didn't know we were in the 1950s. I so wanted to ask her if she would…
For me, the top three comfort movies-UHF, Blazing Saddles and Galaxy Quest. Good stuff.
