Looking at that list, there's a lot of shows I didn't watch until syndication, because my parents were watching 'their' shows. Jake and the Fatman, I remember, just from thinking 'man, when I grow up, I'm not watching any more tv than I want to.' Which is why now I'm one of them hipsters that doesn't own a tv.

We even watched the Today's Special movie. My mom really loved it (and hated Pinwheel. I loved Pinwheel!) so we watched long after we were the target audience.

I made my kindergartners watch this the year I worked in a fancy daycare. When Simon said "marijuana" I knew we were in for rough times. Half the cartoon characters my kids didn't know (ALF, Smurfs [this was the late 90s], Chipmunks] but all of us agreed that it's scary when Winnie the Pooh's on the scene with drugs

I went to a Grease sing along last year. It rocked, but the only thing was missing was that it wasn't a double header with 2. I happened to watch Grease 2 right when sequels didn't mean 'cash cow' but 'hey, here's more of the stuff you like!' regardless of quality, certain characters, etc. I wanna cool rider, he can

We loved Cartoon Express. The cartoons were terrible, but they were all parent-approved, and if I didn't like one, I'd read until the next one came on. Good times!

I was born when He-Man and She-Ra were both out, but they were forbidden cartoons in my house. Years later, after my sister had her first kid, we'd all stay up and watch Qubo NiteOwl. We all agreed that He-Man was fun to make fun of, She-Ra less so, but BraveStarr was punishment TV.

I know it's a joke song, but it makes me sad!

It literally took listening to a Harvey Birdman commentary to explain how that worked, and me rewinding, to figure that out. Now I can't unsee it, but I was in my late 20s.

I saw "The Land Before Time" for the first time on a trip to New York in 1987, that my dad couldn't go on because of work.
The next time I saw one of those movies would be when I started babysitting and had to pop it in. Trauma.

Doctor Detroit was the bomb as a kid. I watched it probably 10 years ago and thought "well, it's alright…"
I shall revisit no more. Best to leave fond memories lie.
