Just thought I'd commit totally to the bit.

Honestly, I've gone on about it so much… but The Act of Killing really is an incredible film.

I love the fact that in Star Trek V the fake God's entire plan falls apart with Kirk asking the completely reasonable question, "What does God need with a starship?"

EVERYBODY MUST HATE THIS MOVIE AS MUCH AS I DO AND I WILL BOYCOTT YOUR COMMENTS UNLESS YOU CHANGE YOUR SCORE TO PI OUT OF THREE THUMBS UP

Oh, I love Anne Sexton.

Hi AV Club! Hope everyone's doing okay!

Dramatization: May Not Have Happened.

Amen. Also has one of the coolest commentariat on the internet.

The Act of Killing.

Never watched the show, but I'm loving the fact that Googling "Dr Facehands" gives me the imdb page for Do No Harm as the top result.

Won't use public restrooms but will accept blowjobs from random prostitutes.

That's as nonsensical as the line, "If history has taught us anything it's that evolution always wins."

HO SHIT, I missed that.

Last of the Summer Wine also spawned a prequel series titled, inevitably, "First of the Summer Wine". Ever wanted to know what Cleggy, Compo and Foggy were up to in the months leading up to World War 2? Pretty much the same things they were doing when they're all old and grey. Which serves to make the "Summer Wine"

My reaction to seeing Gangster Squad on this list was, "Holy shit… that came out this year?" and then, "Holy shit, i watched that film this year?"

Yes! She was fantastic in Season 4. I was so happy that she got through it all intact and that they didn't just kill her off.

Oh Robin Hood.

Another way to interpret it is that Kris still shares a bond with the sow. In a way, she is enacting vengeance on the man who killed her children.

2013 was such a stellar year for TV. It's good to see Justified getting some love, as it was so easy for it to be overshadowed by the Red Weddings and Ozymandiases of the world.

I really hope those were all improvised responses by Patton Oswalt.
