Probably The Harbinger by Julianna Barwick

All this talk of Caprica and Ron Moore is making me yearn for a series of "Virtuality" which will never happen.

And yet, I'd still argue that it is a movie podcast because they do talk about films and writing and I've watched some really good, spookily good-bad, bad-bad and scarifying movies off the back of their recommendations.

Good list. I would have added "The Indoor Kids" to my personal top 10 too, That show has become a mandatory listen for me, and along with The Flop House, The Bugle, Radiolab, We Hate Movies a show which I genuinely look forward to every week.

If Chris Gethard is on an episode it's usually a good one. Tim Meadows too.

Obviously all three Podcasts are different and have their own sensibilities.

AYYYYYYYYY FONZIE'S BACK

Part of the joy of the game is also talking to people about the different choices they made, and the reasons why they made them.

So far I'm working the lower end of the Open mic circuit. The places I've done sets at are pretty small. I think Darren Walsh is the most high profile comedian I've shared a stage with, and that was the also the largest audience I'd done my material in front of.

"If you still like him at 30, there's something wrong with you."

And then Trigger made a face.

I'm going to have to give this episode my lowest grade ever: Seven Thumbs Up.

Quite frankly, when you open the show with the Jake La Motta story and assisting your mother's suicide, it's going to be hard to top that.

Oh yeah, I downloaded his set from The Stand and also slipped him some cash.

Yeah, nothing to add here, other than Maria Bamford would have been my top pick.

Some evil genius at Film4 scheduled Oldboy on Christmas Day last year.

Gahhh! Stop teasing me with upcoming revelations Observers from the Future!!!!

Ooh! Good shout!

Almost feel silly for even asking this given your familiarity with the British comic scene and breadth of knowledge, but have you checked out Stewart Lee's "Carpet Remnant World"?

Yes, totally agreed with you on Killing Them Softly, a film which I thoroughly enjoyed and even admired even as it had me going, "Man, he just won't quit with the social commentary!"
