"Nordberg, it's me, Frank. Now, who did this to you?"
"I… love… you."
"I love you, too, Nordberg. Who were they?"
"Ship… boat."
"That's right, Nordberg. A boat. Now, when you're better, we'll go sailing together on a boat. We'll take a cruise just like last year."
"No… Drugs…"
"Hey, Nurse! Quick! Give this man some drugs!

The very idea that Rex Banner wasn't considered is laughable!

He's half man, half machine, all cop! Which is mathematically impossible! What more do you want, people?!?

Your criticisms are all entirely valid, I really can't refute any of them because they're all true.

Hooray for Brick and Brick-lovers!

I was there. I saw you scramble desperately to pull them back up and protect your dignity.

I think you should have started it from the beginning. The Dead Robins arc is already several books into the story. And Gotham Central was series which had a lot of continuity. You get to know the characters, their relationships. Plus you missed the amazing Corrigan arc.

I really, really, really want HBO to do something with Scalped.

Batman Returns has my favourite and most egregious example of the ineptitude and general laziness of the Gotham police. It's during the scene where the Penguin's goons start fucking shit up at the Gotham Christmas parade. Commissioner Gordon pulls up in a squad car just as things are starting to get really crazy and

What @avclub-c404a5adbf90e09631678b13b05d9d7a:disqus  said. Gotham Central is an amazing comic series because it's such a nuanced portrayal of what it would be like to be a police officer in Gotham.
One of the neat little touches is the whole issue of the Bat-signal. Technically, no member of the Gotham PD can activate

I don't care if it's not true. I'm telling everybody I know that this is a real Hollywood Fact.

I came into it without really knowing who Matt Mira was, but I think they do have a good rapport with one another.

Uhhhh….. no comment.

Sadly, no. I've been asked to attend an actual roller derby night at some point in October. I've never been to one and I'm quite looking forward to it. Maybe there will be more awkward shuffling on the dance floor and pretending to know the lyrics.

What was brilliant was the way Scott encouraged him to sing-provize instead, and he did a couple of bars before remarking on how doom-laded and despairing his breakfast song had become due to the backing track's minor key.

Just wanted to give a hearty recommend to James Bonding With Matt & Matt, wherein Matt Gourley and Matt Mira watch a James Bond movie and discuss it with a guest. The first (proper) episode is Dr No with Paul F Tompkins and anybody who's a fan of James Bond (or Superego for that matter) should give it a go. It's still

If anything they've glossed over a lot of the stuff that was undoubtedly done to him (the only hint we're given are the scar and bruising on his face). But they did indeed have to show us Todd shooting Andrea, as well as make Jess watch Todd do it. For Jesse in underlines how powerless he is and the consequences of

I was at a birthday party recently and found myself standing awkwardly on the dance floor while all around me a team of lesbian roller derby girls were getting down to "I Love It". I don't think I've ever felt more out of place in my life.

The entire Strip Club experience is hilarious. From the very idea of spending imaginary computer  money to look at imaginary computer boobs to the fact they've even tried to gameify (if that's a word) parts of it. "How many times can you feel up the stripper in the private room without the bouncer getting wise to you

@TashaRobinson:disqus Doesn't he list it as one of his favorites in Danse Macabre?
