Bossypants by Tina Fey is classic. I liked Jon Hodgman's audiobooks as well.

Recently finished Inherent Vice. Now, since it's near Halloween, I'm re-reading a lot of Edgar Allan Poe and about to start some HP Lovecraft stories for the first time.

I've managed to not let myself get sucked back into Homeland after how bad season 2 was.  Maybe I can do the same with TWD.

I likewise have a strong aversion to books with the movie poster as the cover.  That being said, you shouldn't let that stop you from reading All the Pretty Horses or any other McCarthy novel.

Wrong, but it was the best part (of a good movie).

It works great to leave some pieces open-ended while still providing closure for the arc of the season.  Leaves you wanting more but happy for what you got.

I tear up/cry every time.  It's perfect.

Definitely something from Twin Peaks, though it'd be hard to say which episode.

Broadchurch II: The Broadening

Glad I watched the whole version broadcast by the BBC, because it sounds like the edits made by BBC America have been awful.

@avclub-457e2745bab4574e8fed69c913ec1d39:disqus Yep.  Didn't like it much then, really don't like it now.

I've discovered that most of my friends have a deep, passionate love of Hook, and for the life of me I can't figure out why.

Yes, you need to.  It's great, and despite being canceled too soon, there is enough closure at the end for the lone season to stand on its own.

Reading it now.  It's my first Pynchon novel, and I like it a lot so far.

@avclub-8d2583b317ce1bd4962cec8605c5676a:disqus Yeah, I was terrified of that exact thing happening as well.

@avclub-58deef2e771fccf51741836cedecf5e8:disqus Exactly.  I could have just listed all of them.  Love Field Songs and I'll Take Care of You with the rest of them!

One of the better albums this more.  I like it more and more with each listen.

I'd listen to him read a phone book.  His voice is amazing.

His first three albums solo albums are a must: The Winding Sheet, Whiskey for the Holy Ghost, and Scraps at Midnight.  His records with Isobell Campbell are great (especially Ballad of the Broken Seas), as are his collaborations with Soulsavers.  The Gutter Twins are also very good.

I'm 28 and love both bands.  Screaming Trees are absolutely worth getting into.  They've held up remarkably well.
