Sad I didn't get a chance to finish by alphabetical journey through my iPod before the end. Anyway, I may as well leave one last comment, so here's a shuffle:

This week on the alphabetical-by-artist journey through my iPod library, where I listen to one album from each artist, generally but not always picking an album I don't listen to as often (started on Q):
I like the Murder Ballads cover. Maybe it doesn't fit with the overall content, but to me it always tied in nicely with "Song of Joy".
Yeah, works out really well when I get to some of the more prolific artists (Mark Lanegan, Will Oldham, etc.). Also means I have both solo and Crazy Horse Neil Young albums coming up, which is never a bad thing.
The one time I drove through Aberdeen was at night, and while you could tell the area was depressed, I'm sure the darkness did a lot to mask the extent of the bleakness.
I just listened to Fear this week, which is the first John Cale record I've ever heard, and I really liked it. Suggestions on which album to turn to next?

I assume he was referring to Michael Pitt reportedly being impossible to work with and thus forcing them to kill off his character.
Yeah, I like the idea and always welcome new book content here (although the sidebar shows this feature started a year ago and then didn't appear again until once in January), but how can this work for new releases? Most of us don't get advanced copies to read and review.
Agree on both counts. Love the New Day Rising title track, and The Mountain might be my favorite HB song.

That's cool of them. Still, some notification of expiration would be nice.
My 160 GB Classic iPod is full and I still can't fit all of my music library on it, but it's still a much better option than my phone's smaller storage capacity. I also don't want to stream my music (and likely wouldn't be able to find much of it on a streaming service).
My biggest complaint about Amazon Prime is that they aren't more transparent regarding when movies or shows are leaving Prime. I always have movies in my list that I plan on watching, only to go in one day and find that I can now only rent or buy them.
I definitely shelled out $5 for cheap disposable earplugs (in a Boris-themed plastic case, at least) at the merch table when I realized I'd forgotten my own. One of the loudest shows I've ever been to.
I liked Ides of March a lot as well. Surprised to see the writer throw some shade on it in the article.
They definitely have an intimidating discography, but definitely dive into Akuma No Uta, Heavy Rocks (the first one, or both), Rainbow, Smile, Feedbacker, and beyond.
I think it's solid. Yes, "Less Than" is a formulaic NIN single, but it's still damn catchy. "The Lovers" is the one track I haven't been able to get too into yet. "This Isn't the Place" sounds both new and like it could have come from The Fragile.
Laughing Stock is fantastic.
I feel like The Men are on a slightly downward trajectory. "Open Your Heart" was great, "New Moon" was very good, and "Tomorrow's Hits" was fine. I guess "downward" might be a bit harsh since none of those albums is bad, but I'd like to see them bounce back.
