Conan O'Brien's ending monologues on both Late Night and the Tonight Show were both fantastic, and emotional, for me—especially the one from the Tonight Show.  He could of easily been bitter and caustic (and we're since learned that privately he was), but instead he was gracious, positive, and thankful.

I've slowly been making my way through Terriers over the last month and a half.  Usually I would blow through a show on Netflix much faster than that, but Terriers has been so good that I don't want it to end.

I like a lot of Grantland's content, but the comments over there… ugh.

I'm always confused by which episode that was, at this point.  Was it the imaginary fantasy-themed episode?  Because I hated that one.

To be fair, he's only stolen Hyden, although he seems to be getting his claws into TVDW with those Justified reviews he wrote for Grantland.

I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

I just minimized every thread until I found the first one mentioning Tasha's departure.  I was surprised how many people were commenting on the article's topic, instead of the real issue at hand.

I'm not convinced that they are all leaving voluntarily, as opposed to being let go.  Obviously I have no information to back up my assertion other than a hunch.

I'm thinking it's something along the line of the parent company that owns the AVC needs to cut expenses, and that means canning the long-tenured staffers who are paid the most (that's my guess, anyway).

I feel like there have been a rising number of complaints about all the notable albums (and by notable I mean albums on the internet that have been getting considerable buzz) that are being ignored by the AVC.

The only Vowell books I've "read" are "Fishes" and whatever the one on the Puritans is called—and both have been audiobooks.  Sadly I don't think my library has AV on audiobook, but I'll have to check it out sometime.

I've never seen them before, so just randomly seeing something online this weekend that tickets were on sale at a nearby venue was pretty thrilling.

Nearly finished with the 33 1/3 entry on the Replacements' "Let It Be", which is okay.  Also finished the audiobook of Sarah Vowell's "Unfamiliar Fishes" on the history of US-Hawaiian relations.

I bought tickets to see Swans in July.  Pretty excited about that.

That's me every day.

Yeah, co-op is the only way I enjoy multiplayer for RTS.  I had lots of fun playing against the computer in RA, SC, and the more recent Company of Heroes.

Can I ask what makes Kingdoms worth getting?  One big reason why I'm interested in the game is it's setting of Medieval Europe, so the idea of getting to play in the "New World" didn't really appeal to me.  I do see there is some additional Europe-centric content but I wasn't sure if it was enough to make it worth

I'm glad that most of my time spent playing multiplayer games was prior to every game having built-in voice support.  It was nice to use a program like Team Speak to talk with friends while playing, but I'm glad that for most of my years spent playing Counter-Strike, Medal of Honor, or Call of Duty (the original), the
