With you on the FF, but I'll pass on Muse.
With you on the FF, but I'll pass on Muse.
I'm with you on embracing single player in games, and not just RTS. I'm 28, and spent an enormous amount of time playing video games (mainly on PC) from a small child up through college, and for awhile was pretty good at some FPS multiplayer, though I've never been good at RTS multiplayer. Now I just don't have the…
Man, late 90s RTS game were amazing. I spent so much time growing up playing the Command & Conquer/Red Alert games, Starcraft and Brood Wars, Age of Empires, Total Annihilation, and more. I was never good at multiplayer, though.
Yep, that's one I'm avoiding as well. Tried holding out on Gangnam Style for as long as I could. I just don't care about this flash in the pan, YouTube video sensation-of-the-week crap.
I was going to nominate the Monorail song from the Simpsons, but I'm guessing it's been covered by the TV Club Classic already, correct?
Tanks!
Not that I ever heard, and any interviews I've heard Mark Lanegan give make it sound like he has zero interest in revisiting the Trees' material.
More importantly, where's the review for Milk Music's debut album?
Yeah that's my assumption for that kid's identity as well.
@avclub-0f0d67e214f9fef69b278e3d08114da9:disqus I hope you're right. That scene where Shae irrationally became jealous was a relief for me because [SPOILERS] I was becoming concerned that they were going to deviate from the books and have Tywin hang her, rather than her betray Tyrion, because of how sympathetic the…
That all-Northwest show sounds like it was awesome. If I'm not mistaken, that was indeed the final Screaming Trees show.
The Good: Went to Chicago for the weekend. Listened to the audiobook of Bossypants in the car (I've read it before), which was fun. I enjoyed listening to Fey read everything herself. While in Chicago we went to an improv show at Second City, with 30 Rock's Scott Adsit appearing as a special guest. It was…
Never heard of this before, but I'm immediately interested.
What I've read over the past month:
I'm with @avclub-858b67085072a6f2403cf500871f4068:disqus on this one: I think Tywin's line might be foreshadowing that Shae will not end up with Tywin, but will in fact be hanged by her, and that act will be Tyrion's reason to kill Tywin. I certainly hope they don't go that route, but I have a feeling they might.
As was Street Sweeper Social Club.
Columbus Crew here, and I've tried to keep up with the EPL. I pull for Everton and Tottenham Hotspur because of Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey, respectively.
I am nearly finished Dan Simmons' The Terror. Considering the length, I haven't blown through such a mammoth book this quickly since I read the A Song of Fire and Ice series last year. It's not perfect, and a few of the chapters are either dense, or in the case of how the last few chapters are shaping up, a little…
I've been wanting to read Foote's books ever since I saw him in Ken Burns' "The Civil War" documentary. He was one of the best parts.
The show is up and down at this point. It still has it's moments from time to time, but often it gets repetitive.
