Same story when one of the recent Pixar films (TS3?) was nominated for both Best Picture and Best Animated Film several years ago.

@avclub-dff4148f038e22e5ef2c2380a99351d6:disqus So was "Color Me Obsessed" not any good?  I haven't watched it yet but I was holding out hope.

" Hollow bones."

Yeah I figure they will either recast him, or have some other character fill the role that with Jaime.

In depressing GoT news, the actor who plays Ilyn Payne has pancreatic cancer.

It might be the greatest finale I've ever seen for a show.  That entire final episode is just amazing.

I just read and loved both The Martian Chronicles and Our Man in Havana while on vacation, and started The Hunt for Red October since I was in the mood for something lighter.

Yeah, I'd never heard Magazine until this year and I like them a lot.  True Grit was a joy to to read.  I should really seek out some of his other work.

You've clearly forgotten the multiple times I've bragged about getting to see Wussy.  Being a Cincinnati native and all.  :)  Best damn band in the city.

Yep, the IT Crowd is one of the best shows I discovered this year.  Hilarious.

Blackadder
Ken Burns' The Civil War
Deadwood
Twin Peaks (had never seen the whole thing before)
The IT Crowd
Cowboy Bebop (still haven't finished the whole series)
Archer (didn't like it much when I saw season 1.  Kept watching and now I love it [and season 1 upon re-watching it])
Black Books

I'd say Brody wasn't necessary for the bombing itself, but it would be a much more damaging blow to America's morale if they believed it was carried out by a former Marine and current Congressman.

I'm currently about a third of the way through The Crossing.  It is taking me a lot longer to get through it than All the Pretty Horses. Not saying that's a bad thing, just that there are a lot longer passages about nothing more than the boy and his horse crossing the wilderness.  That's fine for now, but I'm hoping

I'm actually worried Jackson will try to shoehorn Gollum into at least one of the two other movies somehow.  Maybe showing him venturing out of the Misty Mountains in his hunt for the ring in an epilogue to Part 3?
