Hey man, I keep a Google doc with all my favorites from each year, so no need to get defensive about the spreadsheet.

Yeah it's not my favorite album of his, and some of the songs are a bit of a departure from his other work (the use of drums machines, for example), but I still like it a lot.  Of course, I'd listen to that man read or sing just about anything.

Nope, I haven't read the book.  I went in with only same vague knowledge about the plot, which you can expect with any movie this old and well-revered.

The Sparrow goes pretty quickly, in my opinion.

Oh man, it's downright heartbreaking near the end.  Poor Mike Watt.  You really feel for him.  I always really feel sad for those guys like Watt or Krist Novoselic, who are in a band with their best friend, they've being doing it together since high school, and then the other guy dies.

Watched Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix last week.  I wasn't thrilled with some large portions of the movie (wasn't my favorite book either, thanks to the Umbridge storyline), but I thought the fight between Voldemort and Dumbledore near the end looked fantastic.
