Why is the formatting on the show titles and episode names and links so terrible? The intern in charge of seriously basic HTML is not doing a good job.

That is legit a great idea.

All the text is giant now in case you forgot your glasses but remembered your iPhone

To play devil's asshole here, I think sites assume their core users will stay and want to try to look "younger" to draw new eyes.

In spammer Gloria's defense, I'd feel better about everything if I could make $81/hour.

Need to say in print that I strongly dislike this redesign. I understand its goals and what you're trying to do, and it makes me feel totally devalued and alienated as a moderate user of the community features who visits this site almost every day.

I'm pretty worried about what will happen on my laptop at home, which has adblock and noscript :(

This episode was messy and not cohesive, and the Iroh/chibi Korra stuff was so stunty! I'm on the verge of quitting the show. Such lazy writing now. When Korra flies over and sees the big tree and says to no one, "That's where Vaatu is," just . . . UGH. UGH.

Duuuuude, what if it's Jinora?

That's what I think — she's the avatar either way, you know? He's gotta deal regardless.

Maybe a true believer, like Amon. Or pre-S3 Zuko, even.

On Tuesday I finished a rewatch of ATLA and . . . Just, why did I do that. That show is almost perfect, and this show, especially this season, is so laughably flawed. The cheap, throwaway animation alone. It's legit heartbreaking.

Really interesting theory! Oh man. I hope so? I hope not? What do I want, I don't know.

Joey Ramona Quimby, guys.

Sarah Vowell appeared on the Daily Show for the novel. Her and John Oliver's conversation about him is wonderful. I still can't listen to stuff by or about him without feeling pretty upset — You spend a fair passel of time listening to what is basically a smart, wonderful person speaking directly into your ear and

It's his nightmare, not a factually objective account. So, of course, if in the recesses of his mind he feels guilty and like kind of a tyrant for how he behaved toward Regina, his "alternate reality" is where he's corrupted absolutely.

He is for SURE doing all right for himself. I scrolled down assuming someone would say this earlier!

There's probably something to how they both manage/own businesses, too, and aren't really sure why Emily spends her time doing whatever she's always doing. (I'm not editorializing about that myself, just . . . It's a hallmark of how they both treat Emily and the basis for their begrudging respect for each other.)

God, he's gotten BETTER looking, even.

It's on the wrong side of town, so she wouldn't have had any exposure to it, at least not before she got a car, etc. And there are definitely local amusement parks like that that are permanent buildings but only open for part of the year. Property taxes in Wrong Side of Town, MO have to be pretty low.
