It's going to be the Zaireeka of movies!

That's also the point where I got a bit sick of Mike's shtick. Their last proper album Self-Entitled had some really good material, though. "I've Got One Jealous Again, Again" was legitimately affecting.

I made it through 4 or 5 of my friend's trades before I lost interest. It was certainly provocative in ways that were very "EXTREME", but also quite a bit of fun.

Agreed. And now I will do that, too.

I've never listened to the podcast but I loved the Ask the Maester column. So as long as Concepcion is involved I'll give the after-show a shot.

Me too. The thing that's stuck with the most, all these years later, is that we got to see that Animatrix short before the movie and that thing was great.

And I came in here all ready to take that bait. But instead I'll just say I really enjoyed Fables. Even the spinoffs.

If LCD Soundsystem had been headlining my local festival (Houston's Free Press Summerfest), I would have bought a ticket. Instead I'm skipping it because the bill is so weak.

You had Rothbury on the west side of the state for a couple of years. That was a little something, I guess.

Fuck Your Face, clearly.

I'd like to point out that, yes, while a saxophone counts as a horn, a saxophone and a violin absolutely do not constitute a "horn section".

Yes they do.

A lot of that consistency in style and tone comes courtesy of producer Paul Fox and Elektra. Fox also smoothed out (or, more accurately, beat down) a lot of Phish's quirky edges that same year for Elektra on their Hoist album.

Man, this song is great. Probably in their top 10 for me. I love the way the song builds up into the full band, subtly adding more and more parts as it goes. And the three-part harmony on "A new empire in rags" is sublime. And I'm also a big supporter of Challengers, which is a contrast to most of their material

Really happy about Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Last Man on Earth continues to simultaneously be one of the most interesting and one of the most inconsistent in terms of actual comedy comedies on tv. But I'm still watching it.

Never watched an episode of Mad Men, so my apologies for messing it up.

Which Peggy? Hill, Draper, or Bundy?

As long as Whedon goes to cable or streaming this time, whatever he comes up with next will run for years and years.

Sharknado 3, one assumes. I'm curious as to what the last one would be, though.

Well, it looks like the Time Chasers people have realized if they want their movie to be professionally restored, funding from Rifftrax is the best way to make that happen. Because there's very little interest in (most of) these kind of movies beyond their legacy as MST3k episodes.
