I'm a big Rifftrax fan and attend most of their live shows (in a theater, not in person), and I'm glad this Kickstarter model is working for them. But I feel like I give them enough money between paying for the relatively expensive Fathom Events shows and various downloaded riffs. Especially when they're doing

Re: 1. I watch a lot of Rifftrax and that's not the impression I get from them at all. Huh.

Oh, good. I've been meaning to do a marathon of all the Dial A Song stuff I haven't listened to on YouTube in advance of their Houston show on April 1, but now I can just listen to this. Because YouTube playlists are awkward and annoying.

This one was just confirmation of how I enjoy the episodes that deal with the state of the world and the isolation so much better than the wacky hijinks involving Phil and the whole crew.

Nothing they've put out since Let Go has grabbed me as much as that particular album. There is good stuff to be found on all the subsequent records (The Weight is a Gift, in particular, was great), though.

Yes. Yes, I am. *looks up GTR on Wikipedia* Oh, wait, no. I had never heard of them before. On the other hand, my cd collection is littered with also-rans like The Thorns and Tinted Windows.

I am suddenly interested in watching Nancy Drew. Moments ago I had zero interest.

Neko Case has a pretty strong history as a collaborator but man, supergroups rarely work out to be anything close to what the artists do individually.

Agreed. Carter can produce and I suppose he can be involved in story planning, though that's iffy, too. But let's get all those guys back in here to write the things. Gilligan, Spotniz, Bowman, even Morgan and Wong did alright this time around.

"They wanted me to write a series bible outlining where the show was going and I didn't want to do that (Read: couldn't do that because I had no fucking clue) so the whole thing fell apart." An approximation of Carter's quote in Rolling Stone about The After. Parenthetical is my own, obvs.

It's definitely the Blue Record for Baroness. If you like "A Horse Named Golgotha" and "Jake Leg", you'll know that you'll like the band.

Hey, Jason Isbell won a Grammy! That makes me happy.

I'll go see the new Saw. I enjoyed at least 4 of the 7 previous ones.

Donnie was in at least two of them. I believe he disappears at the end of 2 and then shows up in the trap you mentioned in 3.

I knew someone in here had to have gotten a Talk Show reference in before I arrived. Well done.

Man, that's a great song. And the video, too.

Am I allowed to call bullshit on the fact that the press release is saying David has schizophrenia when clearly that is not what his condition is? Even though the first appearance of Legion in the early 80's called him schizophrenic? Because it was wrong then but a much more common mistake. Now there's really no

"He's DEAD! Can't you hear the music?"

Hasan has great energy, too bad he's very rarely funny.

This movie got rapturous reviews when it came out and I saw it and remember being pretty nonplussed by the whole thing. I usually like Raimi but I doubt a remake will bring anything interesting to the table to make it worth having this experience again.
