Yeah but it doesn't make the mistake of bring blindingly sunny the way Parks' final season was. They've balanced the subversive and optimistic tone incredibly well.

I started watching season 6 of The Clone Wars too. It's pretty great. Very cinematic and very mature for a children's cartoon. Unafraid to show death & dismemberment or use big words or concepts.

I rewatched Aliens after the Matt Zoller Seitz "incident". It's as awesome as ever, and perfectly okay for a child to watch. I watched the uncensored versions of Schindler's List and Robocop as a 12 year old and I turned out pretty okay.
