You'll accept my upvote and you'll like it, young man.

That's for an Alcubierre warp drive. You can't move at the speed of light in the traditional sense by accelerating to it.

Somebody died. Should we really be making fun of any of this?

Imagine new ones by all means. But any idea built on a foundation as silly as Dyson spheres is making a fairy castle out of pixie dust.

Not just causality, you need an infinite amount of energy to move at the speed of light. Dik's probably talking about warp-drives and inter-dimensional travel or something, which are not really FTL per se.

A) I think you're not understanding what I'm saying.
B) To talk something this patently absurd is nothing but mental masturbation. There's no benefit to be derived from entertaining such a nonsensical notion. There are several better ideas in sci-fi to be explored.
C) We shouldn't limit it to "need"? So we should do it…

Its not about problems, its about need. Like I said, if you have the energy to make such a structure, there is no need for the star's power.

This is far, far beyond the fringe of possibility. And it's a stupid idea. To make all the matter required, you'd need crazy amounts of energy (possibly obtained from fusion), and if you have that, the energy of a star is hardly interesting to you.

That's even more horrifying. Maybe he breathed some sort of roofy-like chemical into her mouth that makes one forget stuff from before? A post-roofy, if you will.

Did you get kissed by Superman?

I clicked on the link and that used the phrase as well.

Wow, all of this sounds like a fun idea.

That sounds like a lot of effort.

"Neil DeGrasse Science Nitpicker"?

*movie makes 500 million at the very least regardless, Suit gets inexplicably promoted.

Lemme run this by you, since you have "genius" in your name. I was thinking of making a "Neil DeGrasse Tyson Science Nitpicker" gimmick account.

Does the boy really have "robot DNA"? Of all the stupid, impossible things in comic books, this is certainly somewhere in the middle.

A movie called the Descender… How low can these people stoop?

Admit it, you just asked somebody to wear a mustache, pose as "Mas" and agree with you.

When can we get to see The Disaster Artist?
