Agree on Cersei. They are definitely trying to make her a bit more sympathetic and succeeding for the most part. Martin made her a little too unrelentingly evil, I think, and it is nice to see a little more complexity (since book - film adaptions tend to go in the other direction, normally).

The Iron Islands. Theon behind Asha and then Balon's big speech: "I am the king of rock and salt. I pay the iron price."

I'd never heard this before and now it's popped up a couple times. What is the basis for this?

Perfect. That is what I see also. Except bald.

Can't see how, but if they really accelerate Robb's story to leave more room for other people next season, I could see them getting to it in one of the last two episodes. They could probably make the timelines match up close enough and then we get a big death in each season.

Hmmm …. I never bought it for a moment. It didn't even seem to me that Martin was trying that hard to fake us out.

I am not opposed to this but there are two things that will keep me from it. First, where is the danger. It's robots fighting. I guess he will lose his investment? I just don't see the stakes. More importantly, my pet peeve is robots struggling. Think terminator or transformer. They fall down and struggle and slowly,

I would love to see it also. Not as much as The Wire though, if that is a possibility.

@avclub-0c78695a470cd64539d27625c074008e:disqus : I photographed them a couple weeks ago when they did two shows in bristol (great, btw) and they know about it now.

There are actually fairly smart and good from what I recall; I read them a long time ago. The humans have psionic powers and there are two alien races that enslave the humans as soon as they come through.

Jagger recorded with a blues band from LA called the Red Devils back in 1992. Only one song has been officially released, but bootlegs of it aren't hard to find. It's fantastic. I appreciate his trying something new, but, at his age, I just want to hear him sing blues and soul again.

What is missing? just the tension and excitement that comes from throwing a couple new band members in with a new producer and a head songwriter on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Has anyone else read Julian May's Saga of the Pliocene Exile? In the future, humans who cannot fit into society are sent into a one-way rift into the Pliocene Era. I see similarities here. Of course, in her book, there were already aliens living on Earth at that time.

Well done!

Just one word and it was the funniest line of the season.

Best line of the season (surprised it wasn't mentioned) was when White asked, "Does it HAVE to be dirty laundry?"

I thought the film sucked. Terrible acting around a terrible story. I did admire it visually.  Most films with extensive CGI just look like bad video games these days, as you noted. For instance, the end of First Class is marred by those horrible cartoon missiles. I think what was genius (the only thing) about Avatar

I think a good way to call that is if the film was actually filmed in 3d or if it was added later/ Pirates and Rio were added later. hence, the conversion suck. The ones on this list mostly look much better. And, as I said above, if you haven't seen U23D or Coraline on IMAX 3D, don't be quick to judge.

Yep. I saw Coraine in 3d and then on a TV and there was no comparison. Best looking 3D movie ever.

Horrible film. But, visually, I agree with everything you said.
