Yeah…. they definitely pulled a fast one at the end, leaving it with a watchmaker god and then yanking the rug out with the whole 'who designed the designer" argument. Seemed to me they came down pretty firmly on the rational side.

I kept waiting for some sort of explanation of why the evolution happened so fast and at night. I imagine they must have had one and cut it at some time.
I loved the joke, but I hate the whole concept of "missing link" which illustrates how a misunderstanding of how evolution works. First, there is no such thing as a single link that could be missing and second, even if there were not a single fossil on the planet, if the entire record were gone, there would still be…
I live in Appalachia now. I'm sure it's coming …..
OK … I take back that last line as soon as I wrote it as I get your point. It's all in how it's approached. And this movie and the book both don't go out of their way to show anything real in India.
Go walk around a poor fucking neighborhood in India and tell me those people don't need the jobs and opportunity that tourism can bring. Speaking for myself, I stayed in nice hotels but I walked around poor neighborhoods, I talked to people, I tried to understand and I tipped as much as I could afford. India broke my…
Weirdest thing that happened to me in India …. maybe in my life …. a guy in a poor part of town tried to sell me a chipmunk (I think) he'd just killed with a slingshot.
What got me about it (and i was scared to look also - I didn't until reading this post) was the awfulness of the artwork. if you are going to have something painfully etched into your skin forever, don't you want to get a decent artist to do it?
Additionally, Raymond Feist, Patrick Rothfuss, Brandon sanderson and many, many other successful writers were gaming enthusiasts first. I know Feist's world actually began as a D & D game and I am sure I have read others but I cannot recall now ….
Steve Earle did a rockin' Dead Flowers. And, to toss another one in here, I love Tori Amos' solo piano version of "Angie."
I don't think they collaborated but there is that Live at the Bluebird CD with Guy clark, TVZ and a very young Steve Earle all swapping songs. Good stuff.
I know Townes has a zillion good songs, but the fact that there are about ten lists here that don't have "To Live is to Fly" on them just makes me sad.

The neighbor was just pitch perfect. great writing and played perfectly. I have met a few people in bars/dorms with that "I'm fucking with you and trying to be funny but I know I am really scaring you a bit and I kind of like it" thing going on but I've never seen it portrayed so well.
I'm changing my name to Elegant Victorian Lady worshiper or some such ….
Truly, Elusive, how rare is it for a show to get the "right" amount of seasons? Switching Deadwood and Entourage would have worked. Rome could've used a couple more. Sex and the City had a coupe too many. Sopranos was close but maybe one less. The only one that seems perfect to me is The Wire.
After the phone call in bed with Ari last week, Perry walked away from the camera. Her clothed backside was 1,000,000 times hotter than Sasha Grey's full frontal this week.
That's what I was thinking …. I don't recall every season, but it seems to me that other than Meadow Soprano, he's banged no one but strippers and prostitutes. Given that and his well-established porn habits, it's absolutely ludicrous. It would be MUCH more likely that he had never seen one with hair. And funnier …..

Not all of American Dad, but sometimes. Check out that episode. Truly awesome.
Really? Even in Modern family? i think he is perfect there ….
