Good clarification. I concur.

I just hope this really calls some attention to it. I don't want to go off onto a political rant and I know the American people have become accepting of lies, but I really thought some heads would roll for that one. In spite of everything that has happened, I am still surprised by how little outcry there was over Pat

Well, flying is a different experience when you get platinum. I rarely wait in line and I get upgraded on almost every domestic flight and about 25% of the overseas ones. 15 hours in coach to Singapore still sucks, but it could be a lot worse.

Well played terry

And, by "left my job" I mean fired by some smarmy guy who made my dismissal sound like the beginning of a glorious new tomorrow.

I flew 750,000 miles in the last four years and stayed on the road about 250-300 days a year. Now, I left that job and haven't traveled in two months and I want to see this because I miss it.

Well, the pig was an obvious (and lovely) tribute.

I think that movies that come out in the last year of a decade routinely get screwed on lists like this. Now, they are too fresh in our minds and we are suspicious of our opinions because we haven't had enough time to review them, discuss them, watch the DVD commentary, put it on other best of the year lists, etc.

I would agree with when the Levees Broke, but is it a film? I mean it's a four-hour HBO special correct? Was it ever released in theaters?

Another great choice. Definitely should ahve been there.

yeah …. Sideways definitely deserves a place.

no no no no no on replacing Tiger with daggers. Daggers was entertaining but lacked the scope and depth of Tiger. Actually, was Hero in the time frame? That might make it.

As I said above, there is a general lack of respect for comedy here. i will second Borat. I have some problems with his methodology after reading about how a lot of it was done and I think that is where the backlash comes from. But, still, no other movie in my life made me actually spray popcorn in the aisle laughing.

I loved AI, but I am not sure I would put it in top 50.

In general, a lack of respect for comedy in this list. Superbad, Sarah Marshall, Knocked Up … they all balanced sweetness and raunch in a way that is difficult to achieve and, evidently, difficult to recognize.

I thought it was a good list at first. But, no Departed? No Amores perros? No Lives of Others? Maybe I could live without Departed on the list. But the other two?

Hey, AV Club, 56 posts by this ass, all the same spam. Do you ever delete user accounts?

I loved them at first. I spent the last summer driving around Europe where "Human" (or dancer or whatever it's called) was playing in some awful techno remix every ten minutes one every radio station I could find.

Stacy is the best troll ever

I liked the ferry scene because I really was surprised by which way they went. The movie was so dark that i really thought they might blow up the ferry. That's rare.
