Reminds me of being required to use X number of sources for papers in high school. "Use 6 sources for this report on weather patterns".. so of course we used 2-3, and made up the rest. Our favorite goto was "Topic and You", such as "Dew Points and You" for the aforetomentioned weather paper.

Whatever the kid's situation is, this seems like an awful lot to dump on an 8-year old. Kids have a hard enough time as it is, and to put him in the spotlight when he himself is probably pretty confused just seems… horrible. I don't envy him the attention he's going to receive, both good and bad.
