Are you crazy??? Those two scenes bookend each other! Plus you need to see him raging and off the wagon at some point; you need to get a glimpse of the monster that he use to be….

As much as I liked Drive, there isn't a single scene as good as Nolte in the hotel room and Hardy & Edgerton on the beach……

Don't get me wrong; it's got some great acting and it wouldn't work as well as it does if it was totally vacuous but…..there are just too many affectations which work while you're watching the movie but in the long run make you realise how artificial it all is.

but….i kinda liked "party all the time" :-(
