Yes. I think that Leela's a perfect example of how to write a "strong female character." They did it well with Barbara, Vicki, Zoe, and Polly (if you ignore parts of "The Moonbase" but consider "The Highlanders" or "Power of the Daleks.") There're no diatribes about introducing women's lib to Peladon, for example,

I agree absolutely. Brown eyes look much better on her.

Agreed. The Sontarans in New Who are far too generic (again, except Strax). You can easily replace them with any other monster with little re-writes necessary.

Baker is great, indeed! He delivers so many lines in a whisper, looking off into the distance at no one in particular. (Of course, his aloof performance was due in part to the fact that he still thought he should be the only star. Even still…)

I'd like to see a write-up of "The Happiness Patrol," especially now that the witch is dead.

I generally really like the first four serials of the Key to Time, even the tinkerbell lawyers in "Stones of Blood," as silly as it is.

"Well, it was probably more convincing from the front."

"The other parts of [The Trial of a Time Lord], all of which link into a single long narrative…" Not sure if "single long narrative" is the best way to describe Season 23. ;)

Another fantastic line from the Cybermen to Polly: "Care? Why should I care? I do not understand you. There are people dying all over your world, yet you do not care about them."

Unfortunately, there's no excuse for it being a rough draft, as they had an 18-month hiatus to work on fourteen 25 minute episodes.

Oh yes. Seeing those human eyes is just so, so scary.

I believe this is also the first time we see a climb up a ventilation duct.

1: Best: The Romans; Worst: The Reign of Terror

For years and years and years, I was always so confused why K9 was with Sarah. Then I discovered "K9 and Company…"

4th, Sarah, Brain of Morbius

I know. Poor Troughton. They brought him back to, er, have him tied up in a wheel chair most of the time. Of course, Robert Holmes was terribly witty, so perhaps Troughton tied to a wheel chair was a symbol for Holmes himself tied to an awful, awful brief.

Also, Dr. Who sampled Bartok about a decade earlier than Kubrick did for "The Shining." Pretty cool, no? :)

Kubrick is notorious for using classical music in his movies. The 2001 "theme," for example, is actually Richard Strauss's "Also Sprach Zarathustra" in addition to Johann Strauss's "Blue Danube Waltz." Lots of the music in "The Shining" is Bartok's "Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celeste." And then there's

And the actors who are playing the original TARDIS team just seem so perfect from the stills they've released. Like I said… I'm so excited to see this!

Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about Clara yet. I really liked her in "The Snowmen" and "Hide," but I have a suspicious feeling that she's going to work much better with Peter Capaldi, which is, of course, a good thing indeed!
