Another stray observation: with the return of "Enemy of the World" and "Web of Fear," we have the return of the two serials where Bela Bartok's enigmatic "Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celeste" is used. Such perfect music especially for wandering in the Underground.

On the other hand, later on the Brigadier constantly seems to have a hard time believing things that are happening around him, as if his memory gets wiped from serial to serial. I feel like this really starts to become obvious by season 9 or so.

I agree. And really, what's the big deal anyway? Especially now that we have Moffatt's handy little time-can-be-rewritten cop out.

Victoria especially starts to wear on the nerves if you watch/listen to all of her episodes in order. She had some marvelous little scenes, like in Tomb of the Cybermen, and there's some wonderful moments in the build-up to her departure in "Fury from the Deep," but otherwise she tends to just scream, and scream, and

Oh yes! The docudrama. I've said this before on here, but I'm almost more excited to see that than I am the 50th.

I honestly think people hyped "Web of Fear" so much more over "Enemy of the World" because (a) they never actually listened to the audio or looked at the telesnaps (b) their childhood memories of Yeti in the Underground, which—let's face it—is far more a scary memory than Salamander, and (c) Yeti! In the Underground!

I agree. I keep watching them too, even though I'm sitting there going, "Yeah. Ah-huh. Mmmm. Oh, yes. Oh."

While I agree with you a little bit, and while I admire Christopher Eccleston, I always can't shake this notion—from the day he was announced to play the role to this very present day—that he might've been a bit mis-cast. In which case, yes… Troughton really is the best actor of all eleven. (Tom Baker being the best

Oh yes! Me too! "Terror of the Zygons" … absolutely wonderful stuff! I especially love the scene where the Doctor puts Sarah into that trance thingy when they're in that air lock (or whatever it was). Tom Baker at his most alien!

Huh. I'm sad to see they thought "The Sensorites" was bad. I always rather enjoyed that one. Sure, it's probably the most "obviously from 1964 sci-fi" of the first season, but I can't find myself saying too many bad things about it.

Really? How funny! I had the exact opposite reaction. For the recons, I thought "Enemy" was fabulous and "Web" was a bit of a bore. When I finally saw the real deal, "Enemy" was just absolutely sublime, and "Web" was more, "Huh… actually not too bad, either. Still prefer 'Enemy', though."

I enjoyed "Enemy/World" far more than I did "Web/Fear," but this didn't surprise me.

Disqus juice, Disqus juice, Disqus juice.

I agree.  Those world building moments where it's just a simple statement like that rather than a giant info-dump are so much more powerful.

You can usually find it on YouTube or Daily Motion.

I'm the one who keeps suggesting "Power" and "Evil."  And I'm going to suggest them again.

Changing the voicccccce, though… I'm not ssssso much a fan…

Yep.  This and "Seeds of Death" see the Ice Warriors at their best.  I am simply and absolutely dismayed with what they did to them in the new series.

Yes… the music is exquisite.  Absolutely exquisite.

I have to agree.  I wasn't a big fan of Web of Fear to begin with even after listening to/watching the reconstruction.  But, at the time I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt that we were missing so many wonderful visuals.  (Troughton is alway so magnetic.)  But, seeing it now, I'm left still feeling a bit
