I did like this week's particular sad song in the half-empty bar. T-Bone Burnett can pick 'em.

Just wanted to note that it gave me a wry smile to see the name "Dave Holstein" flash on the screen seconds after a Holstein(-looking) cow exploded into beef gravy. Well done, sir.
Television and movies never show the weird things we do when we’re alone.
Oddly enough, my first impression came from an episode of NTSF:SD:SUV::. She played the stewardess in "Comic-Con Air", and a whacked-out-on-pills June Diane Raphael correctly identifies her as having starred in Chasing Mavericks, the in-flight movie.
Holy shit! I just figured it out!
2/2 David Thorpes agree: it sounds like a good movie.
Twinkies, too, now have artwork on the packaging to make them look like Minions. It's cute, although I'd wager many parents would prefer their children beg them for bananas rather than Twinkies.
I feel exactly the opposite. Cut all the interviews and the stand-up, and the show would be pretty much perfect. I suppose what that means is that I prefer Amy Schumer's voice filtered through a writer's room and that in and of herself she is not all that impressive, but that's how I feel.
I admire the bravery involved in her performances. But since admire does not equal enjoy, I grant them the respectful thirty seconds they deserve and then I watch something else.
My biggest problem with the previous Spoils (which so far seems to be continuing in these first two installments of the sequel) is that the producers failed to realize, as so many do, that even in a cameo performance Will Ferrell is the kind of comedian that will suck all the oxygen out of the room if not very…
In my case it was Frusen Glädjé, but I got over it quickly.
…Did it work?
I really dig both of Don Felder's contributions to that soundtrack, so that's a good thing in my book.
Of all our many points of disagreement, I never thought I'd disagree with our reviewer that John Larroquette "out-acts everyone on the series." I mean, I'm a big fan of the man's work, but he is woefully miscast as a Jesus freak and is not at all believable in the role, although the writing is making it fun to watch…
Except that the frenetic pacing is a plus. Good comedy moves fast! 30 Rock! The Simpsons! Better Off Ted! Don't Trust The Bitch In Apt. 23!
Now I have a mental image of Charlie Brown twisting Lucy's head off after she fakes him out with the damned football for the nth time.
At the end of the season we have one character sailing south, one sailing west, one sailing north, and the rest staying put. Kinda wish they had made an excuse to send Victor back to Transylvania, or Lily and Dorian touring East Asia, just for the symmetry of the thing.
Dyejobs Are Forever
"This Is A Call" being played into the ground was my first impression, and it's not easy to get past garbage lyrics like "Fingernails are pre-tty / Fingernails are goo-oo-od" so despite the occasional much more interesting song ("Everlong", "Monkey Wrench") emerging from their discography, for me they were pretty much…
