I highly doubt that this is either person's first marriage, just based on the snippet of conversation we've heard so far.

Same. I'm finding it to be more like Eastbound And Down than Veep at this point — the focus is really on the degenerate cast of characters and their foibles as opposed to the broader situation, and the satire is a light seasoning sprinkled on top as opposed to something baked into the cake.
Caption: American REALLY Gothic.
That's where my money is, Marianne. My guess is that Dr. Pilcher is trying to create an enhanced human that will survive his predicted global climapocalypse, created the abbies out of "Group A", and is continuing to experiment on other groups of random people that fall into his clutches.
Let alone The Following, which inexplicably got three seasons.
For me, the iconic Punisher will always be Mike Baron's, from the first 25 or so issues of the unlimited series. He had a real feel for a dark, damaged character with the bare minimum of Marvel Universe goofiness (Doctor Doom? Really?) and was a dab hand at generating stripped-down '80s action movie plots that Frank…
You misspelled "Deadpool."
"Mortal, I must meet this ORIGINAL Famous Ray you speak of!"
No, I don't think I'll ever be over Macho Grande…
"Kensel constantly uses his entire kit, infusing 30-second-note tom rolls with…"
Although Molly Eichel apparently doesn't remember that there is no chocolate in Reese's Pieces. They are candy-coated peanut butter, period.
As international studies it was sort of interesting to me, who knows nothing about Sweden; as comedy it was very underwhelming. But NBC wants to stay in the Poehler business, so two seasons it is!
Au contraire: you're forgetting Bradley Cooper's impression of Louis CK.
Hear, hear. I found it delightful, and the scene between MacGregor and Paltrow (who I ordinarily do not care for) where she discusses having an affair and ignores his barely concealed lust was worth the price of admission by itself. If it was essentially a slightly less juvenile Austin Powers movie without the…
She was a lot of fun in American Hustle, which is worth a Netflixin' if you haven't seen it. I think the main attraction is that she comes off as someone who takes herself seriously and wants to do good work, which is not always easy to find in a 24-year-old actress (a 24-year-old anything, to be honest).
"Here at Showtime, we are sensitive to fans' concerns about being 'spoiled' by commercials for upcoming episodes of their favorite shows, like Penny Dreadful and Shameless. That is why we wait until the last possible moment to do it — just before the episode starts."
Showtime has the irritating habit of showing you a promo for the show you're about to watch, which…how about just start the show? That's why I recorded it.
Double the order for Archer, post-haste!
I'm kind of surprised to hear this, as I enjoy The Comedians a lot, and think the supporting characters are hilarious. But then I feel the same way about Episodes, which few people seem to like very much.
I feel the same way. I gave up on The Strain after the season wrapped, but I don't mind hanging around for another season of Tyrant even if it isn't living up to a reputation for "prestige TV" that I never held it to.
