You need the most charismatic actor at the center, and if that's
impossible, at least have him or her as close as possible and balanced
by a strong ensemble.

I ascribe it to the Han Solo factor. My friend says Han Solo is the best character in Star Wars because he's the only one who changes: Luke Skywalker starts out as a rash young Jedi apprentice and grows into a rash young Jedi. Leia starts out as a kick-ass rebel commander and grows into a kick-ass rebel commander.

I think his obsession with Keith doesn't fit as well here, because the original Golan was obsessed with seducing (to use a far less perverted term) Alexis, and thus was drawn into a cycle of frustrated anger and grudging respect for Keith for having something he wants but cannot obtain.

Yeah, I can't think anybody would be upset by that revelation. "Damn it, I was hoping the rest of the season would be garbage! Now I'll be watching it knowing my time isn't being wasted! You asshole!"

The "we have to skin Doc Yewll, but don't worry she'll be fine, that's what they're for" moment wasn't Game of Thrones — it was straight out of Farscape, specifically the "DNA Mad Scientist" episode where our previously Chaotic Good leads take a sharp turn for Chaotic Neutral by hacking off one of Pilot's arms to pay

Vyvyan from The Young Ones survived after all! Good on ya, Vyv!

Jessica's chin has a pert little chin-butt; Bryce's is smooth and un-bisected.

Definitely up there with "Help!" and "I'm a Loser" on the list of best bad-mood Beatles tracks.

A world where "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill" is an essential track and "Drive My Car" is not? That is no world I recognize, sirs and madams.

Edited To Add.

And holy shit, she was Roscoe's genderqueer flirt-friend on House of Lies, too. I should've recognized her from that, since Roscoe's storyline is the only thing that makes that show watchable.

They did give Bex Taylor-Klaus' character a name — Clive mentions in passing that she should be notified after they found Sebastian dead in Liv's apartment — but I immediately forgot it because she's Black Canary I's gal-pal from Arrow and I was unable to shake the sense that it was the same character.

I've often wondered if "Just" is intended as some new idiotic short form of "Justin" (c.f. "[Chris]Topher") or if the guy's name is Falcon. Just Falcon.

Hands down, my favorite ABPI episode title was "Dial M for Laptop," but "The Lady Varnishes" is a very close second.

Valerie Flame is Jon Hamm, Chief is Eva Longoria, Blake is a clone (being played by his twin), and for the moment, Owen is a shaved ape. Did I miss anybody?

For me. that opening bit with Scott and the Ivy-League jerk writers bore a strong resemblance to a classic Sorkin walk-and-talk. Not sure if I was imagining it or not.

I have wanted to see Stephen Tobolowsky play an action hero (purely for the sheer absurdity of the idea) for close to three decades now, and this may be the closest he has ever come. Maybe in Season 2!

Ravi being close to a cure worries me. I hope he's not being set up to be tragically killed. :(

You know, I used to do that too — as recently as two nights ago — but I think their boss has so completely nailed their relationship by calling it a "sibling rivalry" that I think I want it to stay platonic.

Which in retrospect makes it even more hilarious that they had Zach Woods (always amusing as mild-mannered factotum Jared on Silicon Valley and ineffectual jerk Gabe on The Office) be the only person to ever call her out, back in Season 2:
