I wouldn't mind an Unbreakable sequel either… the original had a great premise only slightly tainted by slow as molasses pacing. But what would be the great twist….?

@Bucky: yeah, the more I think of it, the more a Monsters sequel could work. Especially with the huge change in the monster world at the end of the first one.

Ponyo was good in that it had Tina Fey and Liam Neeson and some incredible visuals… but the story and pacing were a mess and it ended on a completely anticlimactic note.
Pixar isn't selling out, I'm sure, but Disney's influence seems to slowly be creeping in. If you read the Pixar wiki page, there's a lot of stuff about how Disney threatened to make its own sequels unless Pixar cooperated and made them itself.
Ghibli is great, but I think Pixar bests them on occasion. Ponyo, for example, was a bit weak.

The endless Door chase in Monsters was the one thing I didn't like about it.
Glad someone mentioned this… I was surprised that neither the new Devo nor Sarah MacLachlan got a review. granted they're both pretty mainstream, but the Devo has decent reveiws on Metacritic.
