Yeah his shorts are awesome. "The Goat" is also a good one.

Yes, this is true. It's also his last great movie, so DON'T SKIP IT.
College
the movies mentioned here are all great, but I've always thought the best intro to Buster would be College. It's not as famous as The General or Sherlock Jr, and it doesn't have the same level of technical virtuosity, but it's a good deal funnier than they are, and an equally perfect example of Keaton's art.

I watched Woody Allen's Take The Money And Run. Nobody wears beige to a robbery!
Blasphemy!
I can't believe you'd single out Lon Chaney Jr.'s performance as a weak point! His naive nature is perfect for this character, and makes for as heartbreaking a monster as Karloff's Frankenstein in my opinion.

I read a few issues of Garth Ennis' PREACHER. That still counts, right?
I don't give a fuck about your war.
I can't believe none of you mentioned Snake!
There is literally
one library worldwide that contains the suggested starting point, according to my library's interlibrary loan search engine. I hope I get it!

I watched Christian Bale in one of his best roles, as serial killer Patrick Bateman in AMERICAN PSYCHO. This confession has meant nothing.
I thought it was just the box set with all 3 that was available. But I too might be wrong. #uselessinput

I'm aware that there's nothing more loathsome than mentioning (and then linking to) your blog in the comments, but this is a website where any mention of ZMF results in 500+ comments, so I figured there was some interest.

I watched the New Cult Canon classic Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, starring Robert Downey Jr. In the next day or so, you can see what I and the famous ZODIAC MOTHERFUCKER have to say about this (in my opinion, not necessarily ZMF's) fine film at our joint film blog, OWNAGE DU CINEMA:
Hey, thanks for picking up the slack, fake me! I was busy interacting with a semi-real human being and didn't get to watch anything last night. Nice work!
Mine's probably Secret Honor, followed by The Long Goodbye and The Player. But I still have a lot of Altman left to watch.
Respect the cock, tame the cunt.
I'm reluctant to say that Breaking Bad is better than Mad Men, since it strikes me as being a little less…challenging, maybe? than Mad Men is. What I mean is that because it's got those crime-thriller genre trappings that make it a little more accessible, it doesn't seem like quite the achievement that Mad Men, having…

I watched a documentary about the making of Caddyshack called "Caddyshack: The Inside Story." I think that's what it was called - anyway, apparently they wanted Pink Floyd to do the music, and they got Kenny Loggins. Same difference, right?
Whatever, man.
This is clearly just Modell in disguise.
