GAG ME

Ha!
Thanks for specifying the song he played before collapsing.

But Sugartits, wasn't it you guys who foisted this religion on the rest of us and tried to make it a part of the culture (and succeeded)? Here is the result of that effort. Just be thankful that it's not called Wal-Mart Day or something yet.

TOO

Handlen nailed part of the game. You're supposed to identify the likely antecedent. From the trailers it looks like Shutter Island might be one to.

What's wrong with insisting the holiday be what it hasn't been for nearly a century?

Smile, you son of a bitch!

Saw Saw?

A "fun" mental game I've been playing
imagining what Saw sequels would be like if directed by famous auteurs. Claude Chabrol's Saw, etc.

Arrested Development did that same thing, only better.

Thank you for posting this. I was a little uneasy with the implication that community college students are fucked for life - I transferred from one 2 years ago.

Planet of the Apes
for some reason.

I should add it's nothing like Death Nerve or any of Bava's other movies - it has more of a Sam Peckinpah/early Wes Craven vibe to it.

If you like Death Nerve zodiac you HAVE to see Bava's Rabid Dogs. It also got released under the title "Kidnapped," but don't watch that version if you can avoid it. It's 90 minutes of sustained tension - I think you'd like it a lot.

The Protector (the original version, not the American cut) is the only Jaa movie I've seen, and it's pretty awesome. Some of the best long-take steadicam work I've seen in a movie.

Recently discovered von Trier
so I hope to be able to see this in the theater. Anyway, I want to be able to go "chaos reigns" in conversation, but I have to see the movie first before I can do it. I have a strict code when it comes to pop culture references.

Orny Adams…the guy does a movie with Jerry Seinfeld and it led to nothing. Christ.

You fucking son of a bitch.

I've noticed the same thing, Teadoust. Have you seen Ikiru? It looks like it's from the 30s as opposed to the 50s.

Why is it called Wasington? Also, damn it. I was looking forward to seeing the Young Americans closing montage on the big screen!
