Twitch of the Death Nerve
Bava's movies have the best fucking titles.

I've not read this
because I want to go in fresh when I finally get to see Army of Shadows - I'm a huge Melville fan based on the movies of his I've seen.

Can I come over and watch it with you guys?

I'm really psyched to see Antichrist
but I'm even more excited to see Washington, which may never even get made.

I've read elsewhere on this site
that Seinfeld started out as a "riff on It's Garry Shandling's Show" or some such thing. I never quite figured out what was meant by this, although admittedly I've never seen this show. What did that mean?

I love the way
he just walks off at the end of the ad. As if to say "I'm all about business, and now that my business is done, I've got other stuff to do." That guy is all business.

The best movie about weather
is obviously John Huston's Key Largo.

Bravestarr is highly troubling because of the relationship with the robot horse. This robot horse walks around on two legs and talks and does other human things until Bravestarr needs to get somewhere - then he gets on all fours and lets Bravestarr ride him around.

Take that off.
Put this on.

True Romance
I mostly know this guy from that movie, in which he is indeed very good. The cocaine scene is a particular favorite.

I know Amelie doesn't usually reply to us commenters,
but I have to ask: Do you like Mad Men or not? Because you've made a few vaguely dismissive references to it over the past month or so.

Instead of watching these, I watched American Idol.

It's clear to me that Larry went for the upgrade.

It seemed to me like a bit Buster Keaton might have done.

Larry, like a lot of people, assumes that everyone he meets shares his sense of humor. They do not.

I don't buy that, because this show has ALWAYS had many similarities with Seinfeld. One example that springs to mind: Jeff sitting on the airplane and just staring at the seat in front of him - Puddy on Seinfeld did that same thing.

The Chinese baby
I disagree about Larry's conversation about the Chinese baby being unbelievable, at least in the context of the show. To Larry, everyone he comes in contact with shouldn't take it personally when he engages in some idle curiosity. Why should the couple get upset if Larry's just asking some questions?

My favorite moment
Paul telling Don his "dog ate my homework" story, expecting to get chewed out - instead, Don goes "I hate it when that happens."

I don't hate it like Steve does
but it is starting to wear thin on me too. The conversation about Kinski made me realize this more than anything. Although I did feel a twinge of satisfaction at knowing what the fuck they were talking about.

That black woman in the background with the scarf stole my look.
