I've always thought
Speed of Life on Low would be good for entering a big city like Nabin says.

Maybe it is, but if you put Raging Bull in the 70s column where it belongs I think the 70s still beats the 80s. I mean - Taxi Driver? Mean Streets? It is closer than I thought at first though.

I think that would more accurately be called "the wrong angle."

An avatar may have saved it.

"…and part of every day!"

Kiss?
I had no idea there was anything redeemable about KISS. Thanks, AV Club!

Scorsese produced his best stuff in the 80s?

TOO MANY FUCKING ALEXES

Titty count?

My,
these Coens are quite enamored with the fuck-word, aren't they?

You're right, I did assume that the gun was a legally obtained one, just because the article didn't say otherwise. But I was talking more about the manufacture of handguns, as opposed to concealed permits or waiting periods or whatever else. I guess I shouldn't have used the word "community." "Nation" would probably

My point was that in a community with stricter gun laws, this guy would probably still be alive. How is that a straw man?

*choked

Ha! So you don't consider it relevant that he shot himself with a readily-available, totally legal handgun that his FRIEND gave him? What would he have done if his friend hadn't brought a gun to the theater, chocked himself to death on popcorn?

Too bad Glenn Beck wasn't in the theater
He could've taken the man down with his gun before he did this.

I'm glad they put out a new DVD assuming it combines the special features of the old R-rated one with the director's cut version. Will buy.

I'm glad Towne didn't get his wish. Chinatown has one of the most unforgettable endings I've ever seen in a movie.

Jerry Zucker
So he gives a funny commentary for this, but his commentary for Airplane is as I recall dry as a bone. Weird how that works.

FAG

Throw in Burt Reynolds and you've got yourself a sitcom.
