I actually wrote something last weekend! During the post-dinner rush at work, I get to sit around, and my managers don't mind if I scribble in my notebook. I started kind of stream-of-consciousness writing about how my ankle injury this summer has permanently changed a part of my body, and the other permanent changes

I love BodyPump! "Completely destroyed me but in the good kind of way" is the only way to describe it. I never had any interest in weight training prior to starting these classes, but I notice such a difference in how my clothes fit when I do it consistently.

YOU NEED TO SEE HER LIVE! All-caps necessary because Grace's stage presence is unlike anyone else I've ever seen. And she changes up the set list every show, which I love.

She's coming to Connecticut on Saturday, but I'm working and won't be able to go :(

-Things are progressing in a very positive direction, relationship-wise.

Watching Grace perform "Nothing But The Water" live is a transcendent experience.

Rihanna - Rude Boy
One Direction - Olivia
Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Somebody
Grace Potter & the Nocturnals - Ragged Company
Charli XCX - Boom Clap
Kesha - Die Young
Madonna - Vogue
Mumford and Sons - The Wolf
Lady Gaga - Highway Unicorn
Jem - Maybe I'm Amazed (Paul McCartney cover)
Ryan Adams - All You Had To Do Was

I hated it the first time I read it, but I was 14. I definitely need to go back and re-read the classics I snubbed my nose at in HS.

It's terrifying but also very interesting. I didn't think I could find a book about the history of Mormonism so engrossing, but if anyone could do that, it's Krakauer.

Jon Ronson's So You've Been Publicly Shamed, which is the first of his books I've read. So far, I love it.

Good to know! I'll have to give it a listen, then.

Some of my favorites, in no particular order:
-Never Ending Circles, CHVRCHES
-On To Something Good, Ashley Monroe
-Run Away With Me, Carly Rae Jepsen
-Right On Time, Dawes
-Budapest, George Ezra
-King Kunta, Kendrick Lamar
-Girl Crush, Little Big Town
-Lean On, Major Lazer et al
-The Wolf, Mumford and Sons
-Coming Home, Leon

Lonely Town is a great song. His whole solo album is worth a listen, if you haven't done so already.

Even though I live close-ish to NYC, it's unlikely I'll be able to see the show; is the soundtrack still worth a listen on its own?

That sax at the beginning is pure delight.

I can't get enough of that song. It's been on my favorite songs playlist on Spotify since August.

Out of the 37 I've read so far, only 2 are from 2015 - Among The Ten Thousand Things and The Life and Death of Sophie Stark. Neither were that great. I'm reading So You Were Publicly Shamed right now, though, and it's incredibly engaging.

I love the hand motions that accompany the instructions.

Linda Holmes is a national treasure.
