There literally is not an A+ grade on the AVClub. Donna can't do anything about that. Just pretend Curb Your Enthusiasm didn't exist.

Todd is just one crazy mofo. He's also pretty delusional too; if he expects Jesse to produce anything resembling pure blue meth in his current mental (and physical) shape he's got another thing coming. In fact, I fear that if/when Jesse turns out a cook that isn't any better than what Todd can do, that will be it for

It really is crazy how just when you think Walt has lost any and all humanity (his treatment of Jesse in this episode, taking Holly initially) he does something that reminds you that he still, even at this juncture, is not a total monster. That scene on the phone with Skyler was just jaw-dropping and one of the show's

I believe the word you're looking for is ERIFHIFHUI

I do think that partially explains it, although if there was one part of this episode that didn't ring quite true, it was that. It's the type of thing for me that drops this episode from A++ to A+, but it did stretch credulity just a tad.

Did anyone catch this live? Walt rolls his barrel past his pants from the first episode:

Yeah I know what, I just didn't know if Saul ever actually gave him the number. Jesse obviously didn't have it. I'm just wondering if that actually happened on screen or not. Doesn't really matter either way, I was just curious.

Haha I was just messing around, I know what you were talking about. Although your edit makes my comment make no sense anymore. :(

No, that made total sense. He believed Jesse was about to die and wanted him to know before it happened.

Does Walt have the number of the vacuum repair guy? I assume he does although I don't recall Saul ever giving it to him.

The show has thrown away and torn to pieces the idea that Walt is a hero long ago. The music montages like the one in this episode are just mere master classes in episode construction and cinematography, and have become a staple of the show. It says nothing about Walt still being a hero in my eyes.

I doubt it gets to 10,000 but it should easily set the BB record for comments (which was already set last episode). 4000+ is a distinct possibility, which is pretty much unheard of outside of the super-long yet mostly off-topic Community reviews.

Eh I don't think he came up with this plan in the heat of the moment. He took Holly because he didn't know what else to do, but he makes the decision to save Skyler through the phone call plan in the scene where Holly is saying mama repeatedly and he realizes that he can still save Holly and his family by taking the

The Sarah admission? What fucking show were you watching?

So he should fly to Argentina and THEN kill Saxon! Got it!

I'm sorta surprised the general AV Club commentariat seems to approve of this breezy fun show, but it's nice to see I wasn't on an island by myself in my enjoyment, as it sorta felt like I was throughout its run. I hope it gets a second season; I'd definitely tune in if it does.

The Bridge is the better overall show, and yet I watched Camp before The Bridge every week just like you did. There is a really really strange attraction I have to this show that I simply shouldn't have and sorta defies all reason.

I feel like there are a decent number of people out there (me included) who watched Dexter as their first major foray into serialized drama, serving as something of a gateway drug into true greatness, like a Breaking Bad or Mad Men. That could be partially why it continues to receive such high ratings and so many

The worst part of the editing is how fucking bland it its. I hate to do this, but compare Breaking Bad to this dreck. I mean even half of the awesome shit Breaking Bad does would be fine for this show. Hell, look at season 1 Dexter editing and cinematography. It's like a whole fucking different show.

Exactly, that parallel would be a very thematically resonant way to resolve this conflict with zero major character deaths. Of course Walt ran over those assassins to save Jesse, but Jesse would be running over the Nazis to save Hank/Gomie (and himself of course).
