Unfortunately I think it's a little held back by Lofton's limited acting.  Still I really do enjoy watching the Sisko family and it's actually kind of refreshing to see a largely positive farther-son relationship on TV.

Dessicating Odo is great because they just sucker punch you with the image.  The previous seen with Odo he wasn't looking too bad and the next scene he's a moving corpse.

Distant Voices also suffers from the fact that Data doesn't show up and stab Dax.  Missed opportunity there.
