OK, I'm just going to ask: How do I highlight someone's profile in response to a comment? None of the HTML codes allowed seems to apply…

Having never ventured out into space myself, Ranger One, and certainly having never participated in a space fight, I can't speak from any sort of real experience, but it seems to me that actually seeing where you were going, that is, having a glass cockpit, would be very, very dangerous.

I agree with Michael_Is_My_Co-Caine in that it was more than just the speech.  Apart from the presence of Lorien, in the earlier days there quite possibly weren't as many younger races for the Shadows and Vorlons to deal with, they certainly had never come together in common cause as they did with the Shadow War.

The first season special effects were done with an Amiga computer using Lightwave 3D, which at the time put all the other CGI software to shame.  Obviously we've gone well past that point now but it was state of the art for the nineties and I agree it still holds up pretty well.

I haven't counted it, but he also uses the phrase "expose our flank to the enemy" a lot, as if he looked it up in a military lexicon and thought it was cool.

Ah yes of course.  Apologies, Ranger One.

I'd be very surprised to find out I'm not on such a list in present day America, Commander

It's amazing to think that, with all the physical resources available to a space-faring race (I read somewhere once that there's more iron in one small-to-mid sized asteroid in the belt between Mars and Jupiter than humankind has used in all of civilization: don't know how true THAT is, but, as Doug Adams reminded us,

I know they're another X-spinoff, but what about Excalibur?  Shadowcat, Captain Britain, Nightcrawler, Phoenix (Rachel), they had a pretty long run and some very surreal storylines that might make for something interesting.

Snowbird literally ripping out Sasquatch's heart was a real eye-popper.  Of course, this is superhero comics, so even that didn't kill him.
